United's Best Happenings Of The Last 12 Years

My three top moments post Fergie (unranked) that really got me up from the chair celebrating like a mad dog.

Rashford scoring the penalty away in the CL against PSG. We were so much underdogs, and Ole's at the wheel.
Amad scoring in extra time against Liverpool in the FA cup quarter final last season.
Zirkzee scoring the final goal to in the penalty shoot out against Arsenal. So deserved.

Surly, winning the FA final against City was huge, and also the EL win with Jose, but still didn't produce that level of adrenaline as the three above.
That Rashford goal! Not many goals have been memorable but I remember watching that goal and who I was with!

I think the biggest adrenaline rush for me was beating City in cup final last May. It was the build up to the game with rumours of Ten Hag getting the boot, Rashford all over the headlines for not making the England team and having the feeling City would batter us. To have two young players score the two goals and hear the final whistle blow was amazing!

Oh, i know one more; Martial debut goal against Pool. The day when i joined Martial FC. :)

FA cup final win, no contest. Such a great feeling to beat City after that season. The win against PSG was great and Juanfield holds a special place-should have won the game 3-1 but Rooney missed a penalty, and the first half was the most dominant i've ever seen us at their place, playing fantastic possession football.

Yes, the impact of the FA Cup win was surely huge, and I was biting my nails down to the bone in the last few minutes. But both of our goals came in the first half, and there was still a long way to go. In the three games I listed, the goals had that extra thrill, as they were scored right at the end, which, for me, created an even bigger rush of adrenaline. For me, the final whistle in the FA Cup final felt more like a relief.

My favourite time was the run with Ole after Covid where we overturned a large gap and got into the champions league.

Greenwood tied Best and Rooney for more goals by a teenager, Rashford and Martial both scored over 20 goals and had a friendly competition. Plus Bruno. We played our most exciting football and we were smashing teams.

Will probably be controversial, but signing Bruno. He’s been the only player that has consistently resembled top quality throughout this dreadful period. Is he a bit of moaner? Sure, but he’s also a top professional, always available, delivers high G/A numbers, and runs his socks off. Happy we’ve had him.

Definitely the best signing we have made since Ferguson left.

Always wanted United. Claims he played as us on his playstation 2 when younger. Master League on Pro Evo.

Top bloke.

And the covid break gave us time to get Pogba back as well, and he was a big part of it. I think Pogba's contributions to especially Ole's better periods is a bit undervalued.

- PSG second leg. Ultimately meaningless and turns out its a PSG speciality to bottle it, but still hugely memorable
- 2 FA Cup wins. Not jus tthe finals which were both pretty memorable games, but there were some great moments in both cup runs too
- When a bird sh*t flew into Ashley Young's mouth during a live game. Made even better by him being forced to deny it years after
- Europa League and League Cups
- That run under LVG where we spanked Spurs, Liverpool away and City.
- LVG referring to Custis as "you, fatman" and the resulting Custis twitter rant + subsequent heckling.
- Ole's first game
- I really enjoyed the 2 leg play off game vs Barcelona under ETH.
- Rashford PL debut vs Arsenal (along with all of the entertainment for the whole season basically being saved up for that one game)
- When we had to cancel a game at the last minute because we found a suspected bomb in one of the toilets, and then it turned out we'd put it there ourselves the day before as part of some suspected bomb training exercise.

Weird opening post.

Not putting the Cup titles above everything, more given against some of them were won it's quite silly.

For me it's the part of the 19/20 season after Bruno arrived. We went undefeated in the PL for the rest of that season, and looked like we might be going somewhere. What a wasted opportunity the following transfer window was.

I loved the peak Ole's at the wheel era in his first month or two at the helm

the PSG win probably the highlight

I'd been meaning to make a similar thread so thank you. For me the following spring to mind immediately:

Juanfield - we absolutely dominated a Liverpool who only the previous season came within a slip of winning the league. Obviously Juan's moments were the big ones but the Gerrard sending off after 39 seconds was hilarious
Amad's winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup - fecking glorious.
Scott's winner against City just before lockdown
Martial's winner in the FA Cup semi against Everton - I was watching this in a pub in Berlin with my mate, and some knob head in an Everton top (but seemingly from down south?) had been laying into us all game. The barman came over with a minute or so left and asked if we wanted another pint, seeing it was going into extra time - seconds after agreeing to get another in we were going fecking nuts
Lockdown football - a shining light during grim times, every game was televised from memory and we were playing fun entertaining football with a club legend at the helm

Last season's FA Cup final was by far my favourite post-Fergie memory. Nobody gave us a chance going into the game. Leaks emerged the day beforehand about our manager getting sacked. Our rivals were on course for a domestic double. Then out of nowhere, we turned up and deservedly won it. 2 goals from academy graduates. Mainoo's goal was something special as well.

Judging by the OPs rather strange list, perhaps Amorim's interview where he called us the "worst team in United's history" was a moment that eclipsed our FA Cup final victory. However I prefer trophy wins over scathing interviews.

Oh yeah how the feck did I leave out last year's FA Cup final. We bossed it when everyone expected us to get spanked and won with goals from two academy players.

I watched it down the White Lion in Castlefield which was packed out with reds and a lot of fun.

The first two listed are bizarre. Rangnick was bought in to not only assess but to solve problems and didn't succeed whatsoever. He was a total waste of time and money and got us nowhere. How anyone can hold him in high regard as some sort of professor is beyond me.

Ronaldo going behind the clubs back and doing an interview with Piers freaking Morgan of all people was really classless and disrespectful to the club. He threw his dummy out as he wasn't getting what he wanted. Many things he said were obviously true but come on man no need for the interview.

Good shout! Lately it's hard to think of positives you'd nearly forget how great that season was!
It ended badly. League campaign petered out except for the win at City, bad losses to Spurs where we looked awful and losing at home to WBA(?). Awful refereeing in the cup final and a stupid moment from Phil Jones cost us. Jose shitting on the club after meekly going out to Sevilla at home. The Sanchez signing
