I agree..

And you need to beat the best to do win the CL..

Can you do it?

We shall see... ;)

Don't you know which teams are decent and which aren't?</strong><hr></blockquote>

Well, the vast majority of teams in the CL are decent. There's a select few that are very good, and a few that are very bad.

We shall

Rich coming from a Liverpool supporter who's seen his team win the grand total of four out of 12 games though <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

and yet we're in the QF's along with yourselves..

Tho in fairness QF's is your level, we'll see what ours is...

and yet still eliminate the champions of italy.

inetersting that there were only 4 wins in total in our second-stage group - that would indicate a very tough group, would it not?

Quarter final is our level? Please explain.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Thats where I'd generally expect you to get to each season..

As long as your group draw's not too hard...

The champions of Italy -a team that has no pedigree whatsoever in Europe, and the Champion of a country that has failed miserably in Eirope the last 3 seasons.

The fact that it was only 4 wins in the group explains that it was a tight group. Says nothing about the quality of the sides

You mean like our group in our treble season?

Exception rather than the rule..

Not taking anything away from your success in 99, but it appears that it was one off

Better have a one off than nothing - like you've had in the same period ;)

As I pointed out elsewhere, the quality in our group was arguably as good, if not better than yours;

Man United as good, if not better than Barca

Bayern as good, if not better than Roma

Boavista as good as Liverpool (2 draws)

Nantes better than Galatasaray (finished above them in the first group stage)

;)

Yeah it is..

Now do the same for defeats... ;) </strong><hr></blockquote>

Ok, here goes.....

Man Utd Played&gt;46..lost&gt;11..drew&gt;8..points dropped&gt;49

Liverpool Played&gt;46..Lost&gt;8..Drew&gt;15..points dropped&gt;54.
Thanks Divo, very interesting stats those. I'd take 1 defeat as opposed to 2 draws anyday. ;)
