If we had Brown/Gaz at RB I would probably start 4-4-2 and see how they are approaching the game with a view to switching to 3-4-3 by moving Giggs up and pushing Silvestre to a left wing role.

But then, that would leave O'Shea, Blanc and Phil Neville at the back so maybe I should forget about that? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I dont think SAF would want to give them an easier scoring oportunity.


I think he will play the same as Chelsea.

Maybe swap Veron for Butt.
 
maybe one of either Keane or Veron should swap for scholes for more attacking effective purposes.
 
Think it will have to be 4-4-2 for a start ... 'cos we are unfortunate and they just sloted in one goal then it will be a real bad one ... so to start out with 3-4-3 is probably not that possible . ..

By the 2nd half though ... if we still can't break through ... then I believe it will change to 3-4-3 immediately ...

Think Scholes will HAVE to play ... he will be one that could bring us goals from mid-field ... For nite like this - you just can't leave him out ... Fergie come on !!! ...
 
4-4-2 to start. We need that offensive power and get an early goal to settle the nerves. 3-4-3 is too risky at the back.

And I am hoping for a 3 goals cushion...two goals is too risky towards the end of the game where I am sure the Hungarians will pump in a lot of long balls if we are leading 2-0.

Indeed they are crap. We had enough chances to put the game beyond doubt last week. They scored a goal in stoppage time, weren't terrible, we just didn't get it together on the night. We'll beat them tonight.

Common sense says revert to 442 and attack the B'Jaysus out them. But I think SAF is so nervous about conceding a disasterous away goal that 451 is more likely.

I'm a fan of 343 but tonights not the time to experiment.

So 451, a goal from RVN after 15 minutes, another from Becks after 25. Reverts back to 442 bringing Ole on after 35. Ole scores to go in 3-0, RVN and Ole again in the second half for a 5-0 win.

And if that comes true and I didnt put any money on..... :D
 
I have a funny feeling about tonite, but not sure whether its dread or excitment. I think it is either going to be a complete disaster or all kind of records could fall. I'm almost certain its not going to be a routine 3-0

Just a quick question. Even with our consistant record in Europe over the past few years, i'm assuming that if we get through tonite we won't be seeded. Which means we could end up with a bastard of a group. Does anyone know if we will be seeded or not?

I applied for a ticket online but despite them going on general sale I didnt get one.

Plan B is in place. I'm playing "7 a side" at 6. That should get rid of some prematch nerves and I'll watch the game completely chilled out.

YEAH RIGHT!

After got about 40 cans of 1664 left over from a party we hosted at the weekend. I wonder how many will be left by the end of the match???
 
We'll win 3-0 and the last 20-30 mintes will be boring as we'll just play the ball around knowing we've done enough.

And that'll be fine with me!
