United YouTube Channels

I've only watched the odd video from FullTimeDevils and I'd seen enough. Absolute try-hards and cringeworthy stuff at times. I haven't watched for a while now but when I did, I think the sort of opinions you heard on it really personified this sanctimonious 'United Way' nonsense (more from the presenters) that came flying out post-Ferguson.

Then again, we aren't alone. The only entertaining youtube channel for football clubs is AFTV as we all know. All the rest of the youtube channels are horrible (e.g. RedMenTV etc).

I like the United Stand. Mark gets crazy with the transfer news sometimes but he seems like he just wants more content on his channel.

Full Time Devils is way too scripted and filtered for me. Fans get 5 seconds a piece on a 2 minute Skype segment to speak their mind.

Completely agree. I don't go to Youtube to watch amateur Sky which is what FTD really is. The United Stand is genuine and any whinging is because the people on there are real fans which have meltdowns as the rest of us on here.

FTD is full people that don't consider your opinion important or relevant if you don't go to games. They are also run by a company, so are by no means independent. They also copied the live broadcasts from the United Stand, so hardly original - typical greed at play. Also that Howson sounds and looks like a knob.

The United Stand is bloody awful. Presenter on it is deluded and constantly contradicts himself and often is made to look very stupid when 'facts' he has given regarding 'done deals' turn out to be complete rubbish.

Full Time Devils. If anything was football in 2017, it's that load of absolute shite.

That Howson fella is a total embarrassment for numerous reasons.

There's one lad on FTD that I like the most, think his name is Adam Sweeney (not sure if he's still on there). Always speaks a lot of sense and doesn't moan. Don't really care for the others.

Have never heard of any of them before besides Full Time Devils and have no interest in ever watching them. I don't get this whole Youtube culture (reaction vids, fan channels, football channels or whatever) so maybe its just lost on me but if I want to discuss United Ill come here.

That being said Arsenal Fan TV is hilarious when things are going wrong for them.

@GDaly95 your point about the range of characters on FTD, one you didn't mention is Ian (?), the comedian guy who always seems stoned and like he can't remember exactly what he's supposed to be talking about or who plays for us. He's quite funny tho probably wisely they use him sparingly.
Have only seen him once in the past year or so, seems to have disappeared! Actually, the most recent time I saw him he seemed a lot more serious and I can't remember exactly what it was that was said so I won't speculate too much but I feel like it was acknowledged he had gone through a kinda difficult time over something.

The United Stand are all annoying and I wouldn't take anything they say seriously.

Full Time Devils is fun to watch but again they're not the most insightful, also McKola has become very aggressive in his videos for some reason which is irritating. Howson similarly isn't really open to listening to opinions, I often wonder why they actually invite people to comment since they never actually discuss suggestions on transfers or anything like that in depth and when they disagree with something you said they just tend to dismiss it. I like Sam Homewood the most out of them tbh but he doesn't speak that often. Statman Dave is the only one who really gives good points but tbh you'd probably be better just subscribing to his channel.

United People vids are short but boring and I constantly disagree with his analysis of matches (not a couple performances or anything, I often feel like I'm watching a different game). The host seems like a nice guy but I wouldn't trust his judgement.

I haven't seen the Football Terrace but I'll check it out. Full Time Devils is definitely the best Utd youtube channel overall imo (for opinions, interviews, and match coverage, not compilations, etc) even if it also could be a lot better

I love the United stand, although Mark can get aggressive and whinge a bit, he's a great host and generally quite knowlegable on what's going on. Fulltimedevils are okay, i dont really watch them too much anymore, the debates are quite good too. I love Adam Mckola TV, he's part of fulltimedevils but his channel is quite good itself.

I wouldn't look to it for well-reasoned, insightful commentary, but I admittedly find that Van Cam guy amusing. He used to be featured on The United Stand, but seems to do his own thing now.

See I'd disagree, I used to love TheUnitedStand, especially the live shows and also seeing Mark going on FootballTerrace liveshow with rival fans, they were pretty entertaining with Mark coming out with some great one liners.
The problem I had was that the channel became very 'click bait' oriented, Mark is also very very fecking opinionated, constantly reminds the viewers about his channel being 'for the fans and giving you the chance of an opinion' then constantly slates fans for having a fecking opinion that differs from his.
He contradicts himself constantly, is overly negative on twitter and regularly gets into 'twitter wars'. Very rarely a day goes past where he doesn't slate Lingard or Fellani even if they had put in a good performance.

One of his tweets today made me laugh
'Screw the haters. Watching Fellani & Carrick/McTominay in a midfield three is like sat watching cement dry with a boil on your arse'
Yeah except Carrick wasn't on the fecking Pitch at the time!

He contradicts himself completely and at times comes across as completely clueless, is overly negative on twitter. Very rarely a day goes past where he doesn't slate Lingard or Fellani even if they had put in a good performance.

That's another thing that annoys me about him too. A pretty outrageous chunk of his videos is just him talking about the channel itself, usually saying exactly what you've said there. He also has a serious false sense of entitlement. Once he said, "The United Stand has been talking up DiMarzio for 3 years now, we always knew how reliable he was when no one else knew about him and now after we've mentioned him for years, everyone looks to him for news, but that's fine, I'm happy he's getting recognition now". The guy is pompous enough to think he discovered an Italian based journalist

Also has strong options on every player from what I've seem. Ask him about anyone and he'll have something to say. "Yeah I like Brozovic, I wouldn't mind him" "Yeah Jorginho is very good, he's a player we should be going for". I have a lot of time for people who can just say who the feck knows and doesn't pretend to know the ins and outs of every player in world football, which Howson is good for in fairness to him. Sometimes he just says he doesn't know.

Oh wow haha, Yeah I don't really watch their content anymore, still have Goldbridge on twitter, blocked by the actual Utdstand twitter though which is amusing.
I'd be semi tempted to make up a player and post and see how he responds, in fairness when I did watch, most of the comments did get a reply not sure if that's still the same now.

FTD aren't to bad although didn't like the 'fanscam' they tried to pull. I actually quite like Howson, entertaining bloke.
Watched their match vs ArsenalFan tv which was hilarious, & Watched a bit of footballterrace until he blocked me because I had negative views about Trump & Brexit paha.

That was some poor quality football.

The Football Terrace guy blocked you for not liking Trump and Brexit? That's insane.

I hate that guy on United People's TV. He's cringeworthy.

FTD I like, in particular Paul, Gaz, Homewood, Statman Dave, Webby.

Howson's good but can also be incredibly blinkered sometimes regarding certain players. Sometimes it feels like he's already decided how well a player's played before he's even seen the game e.g his love for TFM and his hatred of Young. McKola's harmless enough but don't find him that insightful.

He definitely has his is downsides but that's what makes him real. The other ones are way, way too polished for me. Real fans are opinionated, contradict themselves and are sometimes very annoying. Just like real people in any other context, they're not perfect.

I guess I see a lot of myself in Mark (and I know it's not his real name but you don't have to be a detective to know that...) and so am happy to cut him some slack. I prefer genuine and raw to polished and sly. I can get that from politicians.

Andy Tate on FTD is hilarious imo.

Don't forget his infamous rant on Moyes being a fool.

If just United Youtube channels then..

The Football Terrace offers sometimes those good animated clear concise presentation videos. Not a fan of their many commentary videos, but at least their speech and contents are clear, systematic and concise. Interesting thoughtful contents. Often always objective.

Other than those mentioned by OP, there is Chevrolet FC (does this count?). Sponsored Channel.

Chevrolet FC compiles interviews with both players and fans, fun pranks and mini games with our players, and somewhat charitable events where fans meeting the players. I like this one, helps us to gain insights and understanding to the lives and perspectives of the players (& fans). I love that they try to make connections between the players, club and supporters.

I only tend to like the post-match fan interviews from 'Full Time Devils'. It's good to hear the perspective of those who have been in the stadium watching for the whole 90 minutes, especially if a game isn't live on TV.

The United Stand are they only professional looking channel with their impressive graphics - created by a guy nicknamed 'Drawty Devil' I believe. Mark Goldbridge, however, abuses the channel to feed his own desire for fame and uses it as a podium to hear the sound of his own voice. Is it really necessary to film yourself on the walk to work every morning, just to regurgitate the ridiculous transfer rumours found on Twitter?

I like Full Time Devils. The match previews and post game reviews are great. Howson, McKola, Joshi, Paul from Rantcast, Muhammad and Dave from Squawka are all great to listen to. They need to bin Andy Tate though.

I like Pilib de Brun post game shows (Beyond the pitch) too, when he bothers to do them.

Why don't we have an official youtube channel? Does anyone know because I've seen other clubs like City and Arsenal with decent channels but we don't. Just wondering...

Not what you were suggesting, but why doesn't Redcafe try a youtube channel? @Raoul @Niall

Kevin Ashford Van Cam, something different. He's a proper red and hilarious. Every Friday evening, people in here would love his section 'Fellaini watch'.
