oh, hoooray, I feel so lucky.... :(

Gutted.
Somethings gotta change. We've all blamed the
4-5-1 system for our lack of goals. He plays 2 upfront and we can't hit a barn door.
It not the formation, it's the players. They have to stand up and be counted and their not. They're hiding behind 10 years of success.
They don't seem to be motivated. Its all very well saying its just one of those things, but it getting to be a very long time since we played well for a full 90 minutes. Chelsea away last season is the last time that i can remember.
What happened to the fluency, the confidence and the will to do what ever it takes to win (within the laws)
OK Beckham made a stupid mistake, but we should be beating teams like bolton with ease.
My knee-jerk reaction was to wonder if SAF has stayed too long and his ability to motivate the players has lessened, but i don't think that is the reason. These guys are World Class stars and their playing like school boys

And to reply to his last point... I travelled to all their EUropean AWAY games last year. Wonder how much he was in his armchair on ITV then..

Anyway hope we can get Escude and ROnaldinho/Lopez in the winter break

Livvieee!!!! I'm not critisizing him. Just answering Elfies question.

Becks was the best player on the pitch I agree.

Liv, last season one defeat rapidly became a string of defeats. I'm not even that surprised by this result, the performances have indicated that this might happen.

REQUEST Can we not take out our anger and frustration on each other just for once? We have scousers for that.

Point taken Neil. Sorry. Just pisses me off these guys who just call anyone who tries to analyse our frailities and admit facts as glory hunters.

Read the whole fecking post, or go and work for the gutter press

The last thing the team needs now is to be crucified.

We talk about the fans getting behind the team - well Fergie needs to get behind them now, and show faith rather than panic.

Agreed, not sure though what we as fans can do in circumstances like this. Guess thats why its so frustrating.

It would be easier to take, if we looked liked winning.

Lets face it we have played well for 45 minutes this season away to Chelsea,,It does not bode well especially with the injuries etc.

i am very dispondent over the fact that peeps are getting so upset at losing.. today of all days your thoughts should be elsewhere, today it was just a game...

:(

Have faith... Don't write off the boys just yet. After all... what do we want? The premier league? Or the European Cup at Old Trafford?

I know lots of peeps are going to flame me for this but... hell, I want to European Cup. Arsenal, Liverpool and company can brag till the cows come home for all I care... As long as we've got the European Cup, we'll be deaf to all taunts.

I can just see Davo and the rest of the dipper cnuts coming in later on...

Why does it have to be an 'either or' option. We have the players capable of winning both in the same season. They just have to play like it

We've been lucky to win two games this season and by the narrowest or margins. Overall a terrible start.

There are many reasons for this. Mainly the injuries to key players and it looks like this will go on a while longer :(

The lack of form in a way is understandable, but I thought United had more depth than this. Perhaps the “world class” players in the team should be reminded what their job is because some of them are on another planet :(

Hopefully at the next transfer window we will sign a couple of good players, no more of these “high profile” bank breaking signings because as you can see they usually end up being shit.

We need to take a leaf out of Wengers/Houlliers book and buy us a Riise, Pires, Ljungberg, Diouf. Top quality players (better than most United players) for a fraction of the price of a normal United signing. Man Utd are adding too much pressure on themselves when they’re spending £50+ million per summer

Gah I’m just utterly pissed off and trying to think of an excuse for this terrible form, but I’m behind the lads (not innuendo) 100% at least he got the right formation tonight

Too true. I know what I'd settle for though.

Why do you always dismiss anyone who doesn't share your views as a 'gloryhunter'? Oh I'm sorry, I forgot - you are Redcafe's self-appointed arbiter of who is worthy and who is not worthy of being a 'true' United supporter. This isn't one of Stalin's show trials pal, its a football forum so why don't you lighten up.

You sound like one of those people who've supported the club for five minutes and think you own the fecking patent.

Spinoza, are you a yank by any chance? Believe me, the vast majority of United supporters would not share your view. In this country, the league title means everything. Getting knocked out of the CL in the group stages would be NOTHING compared with the humiliation of finishing third again behind Arsenal and the dirties.

Why not concentrate on discussing the match itself, our performance and how to improve our team? Putting our anger and frustration for getting defeated on fellow fans is the worst thing to happen now.

So you are saying that Fulham is better than Tottenham despite the fact that Fulham is ranking in the 7th and Tott. is in the second!?

I have only seen you against sunderland, you looked quite good, lots of pretty passing and possesion play, but none of the directness you used to have.
You actually reminded me of us when Roy Evans was manager.

Fine, then take notice of the other paragraph and try to stop acting like the Ayatollah.
