United shopping for a shirt sponsor

This is all a bit of a nothing story tbh. It's been known 10 minutes after the deal was official that Chevrolet weren't happy with the terms and the chance of them renewing was extremely minimal (thank God because it looks awful on the kit anyway). Relating Chevrolet not renewing to on pitch performances is a bit of a reach. Story might as well read United looking for new sponsors as shirt deal expires soon.

without reading that I bet they are talking about people signing up for an app or following on Social media

It's the equivalent of stat padding, more and more people are embracing social media, if we didnt have a massive increase in following then we'd be in bigger trouble

New Shirt Sponsorship Deal Announced!

Unconfirmed reports have leaked out of Old trafford, like hot sticky gravy, that the clubs record sponsorship deal is with Fray Bentos Pies.

"These were very popular in the 90's and always promised an appetising and entertaining meal for the whole family" said a senior source close to the office of the poisoned dwarf.

Others have commented that they seldom were as tasty as they looked on the tin, with a lumpen and stodgy topping up front and a middle of questionable pedigree and provenance.

"This deal shows that the club can really be like disneyland and not at all a cheap and nasty alternative to good home cooked food" said sources close to the clubs medical staff.

:lol::lol:

Our fanbase has increased 67% in the last 6 years of moyes, lvg and jose? Feck off
It's what They call with "ArsenalfanTV effect" : more failure, more revenues. Also a lot of people in the world are multiplying like rabbits.

Surely it's Saga, as we seem to be the home for one good footballers and are now money sharks who are shit (hello Sanchez).

If it was good enough for AC Milan....

ChinaMobile with a record deal. Followed by us signing two chinese players of which at least one has to start every game. Any mention of Hong Kong at Old Trafford results in a lifetime ban.

And Ole replaced by Dong Fangzou

Samsung

I know Chelsea had them but the brand is huge and the logo nice and simple. Would look great imo.

Just like Kohler on the sleeve it will be something very random or something none of us have mentioned in this thread.

As long as the sponsors are happy to have their logo in white so it looks we have at least some modicum of pride in our identity.

I have a feeling it will be Qatar Airways. Either they will get the naming right of Spurs new stadium or get United's shirt sponsorship deal.

A A.I company like Nvidia would be good, but not sure its green logo would go well on a red shirt (Chevrolet)

HSBC would be a good choice, with its Asia connection, its clean font and logo that would blend well on a red shirt
HSBC has a policy of not sponsoring individual sports teams which can have cult following, they only sponsored British and Irish Lions because they represented whole of UK and Ireland. HSBC sponsors tournaments and leagues.

It is usually the policy of companies whose potential customer base can be every one for their products and services. For eg Apple, Amazon, Coca Cola

From an aesthetic point it's great news for their disgusting impact on kits but financially I don't think it will be easy finding someone that can match their payments.

Well there are a lot of brands in the world. Chevrolet is ranked by Forbes at #63.

Companies that have reason to diversify their PR into a sportsteam: Disney, Mercedes-Benz, VISA, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Starbucks, Gillette, Netflix, Mastercard, Zara, Deloitte, JP Morgan, H&M, Sony, Amazon, Santander, PayPal, Goldman Sachs, Allianz, Hyunday, Hewlett-Packard, LEGO, etc etc. There are many, many companies that would have a natural interest in sponsoring Manchester United for a global outreach.

Disney is by far my favorite sponsor since the shirts would look badass. LEGO would be fun but not realistic. Sony is definitely an option, as well as all the large banks.

Havaianas Flip-Flops would be so appropriate....

Hate how the media are spinning this as though they are dropping us due to being shit.

Fact is time is up and they know they massively overpaid so they was never going to extend.

Yep and I dont think they overpaid anyway, their big mistake was giving us a loophole of having a different sponsor on training kit, sleeves etc - I still expect the next deal to be bigger

Which will get gazumped the following year by someone else, it’s all hype.

Why would it.

No team has gazumped our Chevrolet deal - and that was back in 2012.

We're streets ahead of any club when it comes to commercial impact. No matter how bad we are doing; we are the most watched sports team on the planet.
