99% of these rumours are nonsense. Especially for January.I was under the impression we couldn't buy anyone without selling first?
If only someone posted a screenshot like three posts above yoursWhat his injury record like? Don't need a third LB spending all their time with our medical team.
De Ligt, Ugarte, Yoro..
And now getting linked to players like Davies, Hernandez, Mendes for the lb/lwb position. Can not complain about the players we are looking at at least under the new regime.
We are going to tear the championship a new one!
Please god let the attractive salary be no more than a 50% increment on what he's on.
No more Anthony's please
Heard his contract is till 2026.They have no choice, he won't renew his contract and has said he wants to leave. Either they sell or he leaves for free when it's done and they won't let that happen.
Tell em to DuckHaha - Oxford United is quacking in their boots
Hawkins is a good sourceAny good sources?
Not bad at all. Still young, already very good, can improve and has worked in this system with this manager. Will be a very good signing.£34m apparently
Yes but they won't want it going into the final year or his value will drop exponentially and his agent has made it clear he won't resign.Heard his contract is till 2026.
He played for Sporting under Amorim.Great left back. Which is very different to asking him to be our furthest man forward, run in behind and make an attacking difference. This stupid role we’ve decided upon requires the perfect player for it, which is a rarity on the market. Invariably, a player will either be too poor offensively or defensively for the role at the top.

He's a fantastic player, one of the best LB / LWB in the world, and he's very young too. What went on in 22/23 season, hamstring and muscle injury out for whole season?
Both of them haven’t played in this system have they? Mendes has that going for him at least.Never impressed when I watched him. Would have preferred Davies or Hernandez but at least a natural LB.

Seems to be a typo. That 287 day injury seems to be mainly the 23/24 season but started the previous season. He had an operation in October 2023 (guessing because the injury kept recurring) and was back playing later in 2024.What went on in 22/23 season, hamstring and muscle injury out for whole season?
Mendes had suffered from a hamstring injury since May 2023, and was successfully operated in October by surgeon Lasse Lempainen in Turku, Finland.[32] He only made his return on 25 February 2024, playing 20 minutes of the 1–1 league home draw against Rennes in place of Lucas Hernandez.[33] He eventually helped his team to reach the Champions League semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund 2–0 on aggregate;[34] they also won the domestic treble with record-extending successes in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions, with the player only not taking part in the latter due to his injury.[35][36][37]
We’ve been interested in Mendes for yearsFind it funny the amount of people on here willing the head coach to buy a player he has worked with before ....
Worked really well previously I guess.....
I reckon Amorim knows what he needs for the role better than somebody on CafGreat left back. He literally is the perfect fit.Great left back. Which is very different to asking him to be our furthest man forward, run in behind and make an attacking difference. Because Ten Hag fecked it up doesn't mean it's not something that can workFind it funny the amount of people on here willing the head coach to buy a player he has worked with before ....

No offense mate but asking you who is and isn't a good source is like asking me what the best shampoo on the market is.Hawkins is a good source
Here's a picture of him @Berbaclass so the joke makes senseNo offense mate but asking you who is and isn't a good source is like asking me what the best shampoo on the market is.
No asked me, I’m telling you that Hawkins is a good source. No offense mate but asking you who is and isn't a good source is like asking me what the best shampoo on the market is.
Shocked by his wage.
As long as the player is good enough, we are fine and dandy.Find it funny the amount of people on here willing the head coach to buy a player he has worked with before ....
