EDIT: Considering Twitter is shitting the bed at the moment:

#mufc have bolstered their recruitment department by hiring Anthony Bates from Blackburn Rovers as a Recruitment Analyst. [@ground_guru]

Jesus. You can pick up brilliant people from God knows where. I have hired people with no education that did not even have employment at the time. Some of them are fecking pissing on people having a masters degree.

The club seem to be making the right moves after several sacking and appointments in the last 12 months, but it will take time before we see any actual results.

Are Blackburn renown for the good recruitment?

They have been pretty good over the last few years and built themselves back up from League 1 to play off contenders in the Championship with sustainable transfers in from the lower leagues and a few good loans also, as well as splashing out on Ben Brererton Diaz.

How much deferred wages does he have

Why do I get the feeling this guy is a friend of a friend?

Don't believe it until I see a "Welcome to Manchester United" video of his best phone calls and faxes.

Newcastle needed expertise and went and hired Dan Ashworth, a rising star from Brighton. United shit the bed and fish someone out of Blackburn in an attempt to stem the stench. We are fecked.

That’s the problem what we are desperate for is someone in a senior role who specialises in recruitment. That should be the priority so that person can have an input on who else we bring in.

It’s such a gaping hole but looks like it’s not even on the radar.

That’s at least vaguely positive.

Dan Ashworth is a Sporting Director, Anthony Bates is an analyst. This is just a hire to bolster the frontline research into players. It isn't that deep.

If he can use Google to do background checks on targets he is a major improvement on what we already have.

Thats the point, we need a sporting director with a proven track record of punching above his weight and not a holdover from moyes era plus an analyst from a lower league club.

Not even stepped through the fecking door and our fanbase is writing him off! Hopefully next summer we'll have an established playing style, patterns of play and required skill sets for each position and role in the side. Then we can actually target the right players early in the window and integrate players earlier.

This club is just so fecking random haha. Like nothing makes sense. Ten Hag thought he was getting his staff in and his specific players, instead hes getting Plan G players and an absolute rag tag of nonsense in the way of backroom staff.
