And to separate when we talk about the old stadium, we’ll talk about the New Old Trafford and the Old Old Trafford. Why not just call the new site Old Trafford? Which is what people that go will still be calling it anyway.

Except it wouldn't be the first 100K stadium in the UK
Both the Universities have got Sports campuses in the Manchester student village area and Uof M in particular is going to make a huge amount of money over the next 40 -50 years from it's specialist graphene knowledge. The last two names on the taskforce are interesting, Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester and Malcolm Press, Vice-Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University anyone have any ideas on this? I posted in a previous thread that it would be good if the redevelopment included an educational facility (ideally the old Stadium, or part of it) Gary Neville has already built a academy campus nearby, I'd like to see something like this that genuinely benefits the local community instead of luxury apartments.
That's only a part of it. I posted earlier Peel Holdings were deeply disliked by a lot of people, they have truly massive developments and take no notice of local interest at all unless they're mad to, they are motivated by profit alone. They’ve also snapped up several airports and attempted running them into the ground to siphon off the land on the cheap.
It will be the most beautiful, excellent, fantastic, tremendous stadium the world has ever seen. Believe me."Trump Trafford"
Yes the first 100K seater but it's probably not going to happen, 85-90K is more likely IMOFirst 100k all seater stadium?

Well we already have strong men with tears in their eyes.......It will be the most beautiful, excellent, fantastic, tremendous stadium the world has ever seen. Believe me.
Feck no, 80's Stretty seats were worse than a sardine tin!I think 90k. A 100k stadium with bigger seats and extra legroom would have a crazy footprint. Personally I'd like them to use the 80s Stretford End as a reference. I mean a different roof perhaps a tad slopping down and slightly variation in height but it doesn't have to be single tiered (nee SE) and the rest of the stadium a horse shoe three or four tier.

But a lower tier of rail seats and regular seats above would work IMO
Absolutely. Not 90,001 or worse, an uneven number. And another thing...it's a brand new build so I shall except nothing but a round figure capacity. It has to be 85,000, 90,000 etc, none of your 85,386 nonsense.

Shudder.Absolutely. Not 90,001 or worse, an uneven number.
"Liverpool FC are pleased to announce the Kakarot stadium which will have a capacity of 120,000"We can call it Vegeta stadium.
Thank you, that makes sense of the University connection, hopefully it leads to something positive and creates some good opportunities. Both the Universities have got Sports campuses in the Manchester student village area and Uof M in particular is going to make a huge amount of money over the next 40 -50 years from it's specialist graphene knowledge.
They have to provide sports resources but currently they might be seen as a waste of resources as they aren't in full time use. I can see both universities wanting to sell up the land they are currently using as sports campuses or redeveloping the land into lucrative developments like other specialist campus buildings/faculty or even just more student accomodation/office space would generate more revenue that the sports campus does.
They could then utilise the new combined "sports campus" surrounding the new stadium site as a centre of excellence for both and start to rival Loughborough as the place for sports related qualifications.
Good man! I'm a Belle Vue Aces fan.I should have remembered that one given the number of times I've been there to watch the speedway!
So was I back in the dayGood man! I'm a Belle Vue Aces fan.
As the good Captain Rum said in Blackadder - 'Not big enough Ma'am'.It'll entirely hinge on what they do with the freight terminal but if they just use the land we've got and they rotate the pitch 90 degrees and move it slightly north east for the new ground then I want all the credit.
This will give you an idea of what kids might come up withI think the task force is institutionally ageist. This stadium is for the future, and will be built in the future. The task force is all old men and women, we should appoint some children to design the new stadium.

The BBC is institutionally useless. What is the BBC doing here? The best people for the job were chosen. Elected officials are elected by a multi-racial public. Seb Coe is a legend. Gary Neville a very successful, local businessman and United legend. Racism can only be accused if the people chosen were all of similar backgrounds. If that - in their opinion - is “whiteness”, then they are deluded as feck.
Irrational fear or dislike of Sunday night at the London Palladium?I should add that the task force is institutionally peladophobic
