United and Madrid after Kevin Prince Boateng?

Good player. Milan need to sell a "star player" to balance the books and fund new signings and they prefer selling Boateng instead of Zlatan or Thiago Silva.

cracking player, amazing goals and good physicality. I had been hoping he was available for months now. But iwouldnt be too gutted if kawaga and hazard happens instead

I agree with this. He's often given too little responsibility whenever he's playing in europe. I don't know why, perhaps it's because they don't trust his skills and then just puts him out wide.

When he's playing for his national team he's the central man and boy is he dominating. He can tear defenders apart like Rooney. He's fecking powerhouse. The only weakness I see is that he can be a bit slow making decisions at times, especially when he's man to man. He's a great counter attack player.

Italian correspondant on TalkSport didn't mention anything like that last night. Instead saying Milan are going to be spending quite a bit of money because they're losing a lot of players this Summer though retirement.

Lower wage bill? Just slide the slider up towards Transfer Budget like in Fifa 12. It's what any reasonable person would do.

When he "was" playing for his national. He retired from international football a few months ago on the basis that he couldn't give his best to both club and country :wenger:

Not sure that merits the :wenger:

Some players don't fancy International football, and who can blame them? He wasn't ever really that arsed about Ghana anyway was he....

Am i wrong in feeling massively underwhelmed by this? Granted I haven't watched an awful lot of Italian football of late, and probably haven't seen too much of this guy in recent years, but he never stood out as anything more than average to me when he was at Spurs or Portsmouth.

I'm happy to be wrong if people have seen more of him to judge better, i've just don't see it.

I don't even remember him at Pompey or Spurs, so I obviously wasn't impressed then, but he was very exciting for Milan last season. This year has been largely interrupted by injury, but he should be back to full health next season. He has a tremendous engine, he made a ton of bursting runs from Milan's 3 man midfield, and this is in a 4312 where the line of 3 sit quite deep and have to provide the width. Thus I think he would be very comfortable operating from a bit deeper in our midfield. He's solid defensively and very quick for a guy his size. Not many players can make such a contribution from deep areas.

In the middle of last season, as injuries mounted, Milan played him as the 1 in the 4312 and he was asked to be the creative hub of the team. He did a very good job and his pressing from high up was very valuable in this instance. However, I don't see him playing there for us or any top team, really. Others could score and create more goals from in the hole, but few could contribute as much offensively [and still hold their own defensively] from deeper in central midfield as Boateng.

We're only ever included as the mandatory second 'bidder' for any potential transfer, which in reality drives the newspaper sales / website visits up 500%

He's possibly Milan's best player now but that's not saying much when you have a look at their squad, it's a mess - especially defence.

The fact that the reports originated from Germany probably mean it was his people. I assume it's time for a new contract.

No. We have two No. 10 in our team and IMO both of them are better than him.

I read that Milan would let him go, if they could get Strootman with the money.

His ability isn't in doubt. Fantastic player IMO. The questionmark has always been his attitude.

No where near good enough for us. Can't believe people who have watched him think he is. He doesn't do anywhere near enough to get close to our first team. I think too many people have watched highlights of some good goals he scored. It's a sad day when Arsenal have Cazorla, City have Silva, Chelsea have Mata and our fans think KPB will do for us. Kagawa is in a different league to him.

He's nothing like those players you mentioned. A completely different player. Might as well have compared Carrick to them.

I don't think you've watched him at all. Perhaps you just remember him as a Portsmouth player. Well, he's matured a lot since then. You don't get to be one of the best players in Milan when you're average.

He is a decent player imo but never seemed as good as people think.

Wouldn't want us to sign him for sure.

I might as well compare Carrick to an attacking midfielder who play behind the strikers:confused:

He's nothing like them in the sense he's nowhere near their level and doesn't have their skill sets. But to suggest he doesn't play an attacking midfield role, as the likes of Mata, Silva and Kagawa do and then suggest I haven't seen him is a bit odd. I think it's more likely you haven't seen much of Mata and Silva, if you think he is as comparable to them as Carrick. If you don't know he plays the same position as Kagawa, then I wonder if you've been watching either us or Milan. Andy Carroll might be nothing like RVP, but if he came here, they'd both be competing for the same spot and RVP would get it, as he's way, way better.

At the end of the day KPB is an attacking midfield player who doesn't create much, but scores some eye catching goals, so some people think he's good enough for us. He isn't. Playing for Milan means nothing. That is just the name. The reality is they are currently a mid table team in a comparatively poor league. Look at the other regular starters and tell me why I should be impressed that he's one of their better players.

KPB makes an average of 35 passes per game, with an 82% accuracy. He creates very little given his position. He's not a good dribbler and he's not a good ball winner. In fact other than scoring some good goals, what does he do well?

What the hell? Quite surprised by that, another unambitious move by Galliani selling one of their best players to Schalke.

Milan are weird. I can only assume that Berlusconi doesn't really want to spend money on them anymore.

Replacing him with a 31 year old Kaka, who's obviously past it, seems quite strange.
