Gaming Uncharted 4

I just noticed that Drake is wearing a wedding ring in that gif.

Yeah, when he rubs his head he quite noticeably looks at it too.

Well he got married, and split from Elena in between #2 and #3. They got back together at the end of #3 where Sully gave him the ring back.

Nobody gives a shit, this studio comes up with the first game that can truly be called next-gen, from a studio that hit it out of the ball park last generation in almost everything that they did, and they'd rather talk about a GTAV port.

Are you talking about TLOU? That's because GTA has been around and it appeals to a wider audience. Uncharted gets a lot of attention even though it's an exclusive to be fair.

His brother at the end is voiced by Troy Baker, who was Joel in The Last Of Us and is the other 'voices every other male video game character guy'

Looks phenomenal as usual, you get the feeling they chose to show a fairly mundane part on purpose though to save the best for later. I hope it's more akin to the first two than the third.

Druckmann and Straley in charge fills me with great confidence, I mean even if it wasn't those two I'd still be hyped for it because its Naughty Dog but these two are arguably the best combo in the industry. Uncharted 2, The Last of Us, dudes know how to make a game.

Quite surprised its far enough along that they could show a substantial live demo. It's very impressive and like ViM says above its a fairly standard piece of core gameplay than the all out action bits, Straley even said that on twitter.

I actually much prefer these simple and slowly paced bits of gameplay to the huge and frenetic set pieces, which I thought became far too abundant in the last game. It gives you time to really take in your surroundings and rightly so, because they are absolutely stunning. I'm sure it'll still have big set pieces but I hope the balance is more like the second game.

Well I mean it's basically a mix of the combat from the first three games and The Last Of Us, really, which is fine by me.

amen. Also adds replayability as you can try out different ways of playing.

The demo was fantastic, for intents and purposes they could have another year to work on what we've seen so far. No doubt from me that its going to be special.

Delayed till Spring 2016.

Ffs. Could have announced it before I got my ps4.

Ah well, if they need more time then they need more time. Hope we get that Uncharted Remastered Trilogy sometime this year then, it's probably the only remaster I think of people wouldn't roll their eyes too much at.

Was expecting it after hearing some rumblings a while back, sucks.

I'd love an Uncharted collection admittedly. They gotta announce something big at E3 for this holiday though you'd have thought.

Although, the last 2 years they didn't have convincing exclusives either for the holidays and still raked in ridiculous sales numbers, so maybe they don't need to do anything.

FFS, naturally disappointed as I've been looking forward to it. Still I'd rather they take the time and make it the best it can be.

it will be more than 2 years on the market at that stage and they have yet to have one critically acclaimed exclusive game

Well, they'll prob have Bloodborne by then. Definitely has the potential to be critically acclaimed.

Damn really!? What have they got for this year after Bloodborne? I hope some unannounced stuff. What are these studios actually doing?

I can't think of much to look forward to this year now.

The Witcher 3? Bloodborne? Maybe FFXV?

EDIT: Actually The Division and MGSV too hopefully.

Wait, bloodborne is an exclusive? Not even for pc or a console exclusive? It's the only interesting next gen game so far.

I'd rather wait for it to be perfect than the usual "next gen" trend of releasing unfinished games full of bugs that need day 1 updates etc.

Nothing that I know of. Some indie stuff but nothing big. Tomb Raider being only on Xbox One for a while will hurt some folks even more now.

Sure they'll announce something but I really have no idea what. I don't think their studios that do big games are gonna release anything without us already seeing something. So it'd probably have to be some smaller stuff, a HD collection or third party exclusive.

They will have something, I find it hard to believe they will go 2 years without releasing a big title during the fall. Particularly when Xbox will have Halo 5, Tomb Raider and Quantum Break (if that doesn't delay, heard similar whispers to UC4).

We will find out at E3, to be fair Sony haven't announced anything scheduled for Xmas 2015 since last E3 I don't think?

I'm not making excuses for it, a delay to Uncharted sucks but the blow is somewhat softened in a year when we get The Witcher 3, MGS5, Arkham Knight and rumour has it, Fallout 4 (could be a 2016 title though).

Yeah, for most that last paragraph does. But I just bought a PS4 when I already had an Xbox so it doesn't work for me. I'm the same as everyone else in that I'd prefer a better game than one that comes out sooner though.

I expect Quantum Break to be delayed. But there's Forza 6 too for Xbox, so still 3 big franchises.

I thought you was getting a gaming PC and not Ps4? what is your user name

That's right I forgot Forza 6 too.

I'm expecting some form of output from Polyphony Digital this year, be it a GT6 Spec II for PS4 or GT7 Prologue.........GT7? Who knows, probably a pipe dream but like I said Sony haven't announced anything lately so are probably holding stuff back for E3.

Aye, I was, but the money I was going to use on the PC could take quite some time to come through so I was eyeing a PS4 again. The missus got sick of me looking so ordered me one. Haven't done anything on it yet except download OlliOlli2. Away this weekend so will unload it and start playing when I get back.

Hopefully an HD collection of Uncharted but was looking forward to playing the new one. Been far too many delays & remakes on the new consoles
