Unbelievable "Beckham hunting"

"hang on.

he had the ability in 99...to play as a 'winger'. the width he gave was very important.

So what has changed?

Has he been found out?

and based on your opinion, then surely, he should not be in the team, seeing as he doesn't attack the touchline."

Well, but you haven´t still answered the crucial question: Do you think that SAF orders Becks to stay wide, but he ignores it for over a season by coming inside. Yes or NO and if Yes why do you think that it hasn`t lead to consequences for Becks, who had signed a new contract and was made vice-captain at the beginning of the season. Why didn`t SAF punish Becks for ignoring his tactics ?
I´m really excited about your answer mate.

"answer my questions...
and there may lie the answer.

waiting indeed."

To answer my question with questions is a bit silly isn`t it. And I´m still waiting if you think that Becks moves inside because SAF wants it or if SAF wants Becks wide and he ignores this tactics since the beginning of last season. Maybe you don`t want to answer because you know that a) SAF thinks otherwise then you in terms of tactics or b) SAF has lost the respect of one of his star players and is not strong enough for consequences. Still waiting....

well he stayed out wide yesterday.. and wasn't affective and generally looked very poor.. however, we should give him the benefit of the doubt, due to the fact he's come back from injury.

so...IF he's come inside coz SAF has instructed him, its because he's been found out.

opinions?

He was certainly instructed to stay out wide last night... even tho we lost something on the right, without Ole's inclusion... atleast the midfield wasn't packed in the centre.... which was good.

and notice that he wasn't given the captaincy last night.. which i thought was interesting.

based on what i've seen of Ole, i can't see becks getting back in the side.,,,,, which, no doubt will, upset you.

I hope Ole starts against B'Burn.

"i can't see becks getting back in the side.,,,,, which, no doubt will, upset you"

And would, no doubt make you happy. But I would bet my new Audi TT that Becks will be a first team regular within a month. Though against Blackburn Ole should start.

"oh lover of beckham."

I really wait for the day where people defending Forlan, Veron, Giggs etc are named lovers of that player. Don`t think that will ever happen. I really would like to know what the cause for your hatred is.... But I Know you don`t hate Becks only United fans who have the favourite player Beckham. That`s enough to post 95% negative comments about Beckham.

What´s your question ? Why SAF ordered Becks to come inside? I´ve posted my opinion to this more then once: But for you once more:

Beckham is more a midfielder then a winger. Good passing, vision, shooting , but not much pace. Because of his great crosses he should spend some time on the right though. IMO the traditionel Ajax system a 4-3-3 with Beckham on the right midfield position would be ideal. He could cross while staying wide and there would be still someone on the flank if he moves more to the centre. If we play with the current system it is all about movement. Why works it better with England ? Because if Becks moves inside for example Gerrad switches to the right. While at United if Becks comes inside the CM stay there too and the midfield is packed while there is someone missing on the right.
But we had this discussion already and again we wont agree.

Wasn't it George Best who said that given that Becks couldn't dribble past players, tackle or head the ball he was still a hell of a player ?

Add to that the fact that he hasn't even tried to use his left foot since last season's injury and you have the best one-footed passer, crosser and scorer from free-kicks in the world now available to us again. I'll be amazed if he isn't playing a key role by the time we get to the Juventus games, but he'll have to fight for his place on merit over the next few weeks.
