Unban Lao

Well I guess it comes down to whether you think it's normal for a poster to crack 9/11 jokes entirely out of context of a United forum thread discussion or not. 'Coincidentally' in a thread started by someone who'd recently stated he'd lost someone through it

I'm really missing 1) what that has to do with Wayne Rooney scoring and 2) why the guy deserves anything like the benefit of the doubt given some of the stuff he's said in the past on here
 
To interject here for no other reason than to be annoying...I don't think lao knew about Alex. I didn't and I was online that day ...9/11 is brought up countless times, I think it's a bit of a leap to assume he was having a callous pop at Alex just because he happened to mention it in a thread started by him...How many of us knew about that before it was brought up after the fact?..up untill that point he'd never shown that level of heatlessness or dislike of Alex (or had he?) and it was most likely a stupid coincidence ...I don't see why,, since everyone knows it's a movie quote...that it's 'clear' to some that he was having a deliberate pop..I just don't see it....

I'm not saying he deserves reinstatement, thats not for me to decide...Just that accusing him of that kind of callousness is a bold shout..

To be fair Brad, I go out of my way to say completely random things in threads I find a bit dull, and so do a lot of others...I wouldn't crack a 9/11 joke, but I'm not lao...but there is a precident for it

Alex has posted before about his cousin. It's a whooping great coincidence if it is just that for me. When you factor in his previous, and that at the very least he's polluting the United forum with shite in this instance... bit of a no-brainer really

This is Sultan we're talking about who banned him by the way. Does his reputation not mean something to those questioning the decision? This guys about the fairest, most level headed guy on here. And it wasn't just a temp ban, it was the real deal

Because he's a dick, pretty simply and pretty clearly.

Why on earth would he make that comment if he didn't know? It's not funny and it doesn't seem particularly relevant.

There's plenty of reasons why people don't like Lao, and there's plenty of times when he's made unnecessarily controversial comments on here, and I've no idea why you feel the need to try and get him back because he didn't bring anything useful to this forum.
 
We've all had our disagreements and acted like pricks on several occasions on this board. Unban him I say.

He was banned for making a callous comment for which he knew precisely what he was doing. And fair play to Sultan for seeing it a mile off. Obviously on top of everything before, they saw fit to ban him. Serves him right

Lao is banned? Get in! His ban was warranted, don't know the reason yet but his face is more than enough of a reason.
 
Whilst debating the ban, Smashed, Wibbs and Raoul had mentioned the quote came from the film "Team America". Unknown to many Lao had a number of previous discretion's.

Bannings of posters is very unfortunate and decisions are not taken alone or without good reason. I'd like to confirm an absolute majority of mods/admins decided to keep the ban permanent.

Decision is final.

Same outcome but I prefer my rather fictional version of events.

All he seemed to do was hang out in the "movie review" and "I want your pics" threads talking shit to people.
 
You banned him? That was pretty lao...
