UEFA Youth League - CSKA Moskva vs United

Gomes is such a classy player. Really hope he gets a growth spurt over the next year or two.

I don't. The low center of gravity is a plus to his game. He's tall enough for a footballer.

Their number 10 has deserved about 15 yellows.

We're playing some lovely football. Barlow and Gomes in particular.

Barlow is so, so underrated.

I really like Bohui, hardworking and full of running but I feel he lacks that X factor can terrorise defences.

Hamilton has been a bit anonymous today

This number 10 is the dirtiest player I've seen in ages  ref is a complete joke.

This ref is a fecking joke. feck off.

Can somebody post gifs please

I am at work and all streaming portals are blocked

@barmyarmy - Just saw you sharing stream links on public here, I've deleted the posts but don't do it again, it's a strict no-no.

Needlessly nervy ending. Should have been out of site. Good performances though. Referee was a total scumbag.

First time i've seen Garner and I liked what I saw. Came on and sat deep, positioning himself well. Stopped a few attacks nicely and showed clever passing ability. England doesn't produce nowhere near enough of these specialist type of DMs. Hopefully he progress' well.

That was a brilliant run, control and finish by Barlow. He scores quite a few goals for a midfielder doesnt he?

It's a shame that Barlow plays in a position where you arguably tend to bring in the most marquee players and buy players in general, plus the likes of Gomes and Greenwood potentially for competition. He's a very skilled player, intelligent too. It'll be hard for him but you never know what will happen I guess though.

If he plans to force himself into the first team one day, he'll need to be able to overcome that level of competition and more anyway. Better to learn to fight for your place early.

I actually think he might take well to first team football. Tough lad and a proper footballer. Hope he can do a Rashford.

Garner's reading and understanding of the game is very impressive for his age and much better than a lot of the older players, wouldn't be surprised to see him end up as a ball playing cb either.

Yeah I agree with that, just saying that due to his position it's less likely that Jose will look to the academy for that type of player, but if he does, there's exceptional talents around Barlow's age. I more so meant that he's coming through at probably not an ideal time due to the competition around him because I do think he has the ability to be at the very least a squad player for us.

So do I, I just doubt he'll get the opportunity to do so at United but as I said, you never know what will happen.

If McTominay can get games he certainly will. And I've a sneaky feeling he'll do well when he does. Don't forget Gomes can play on the wings and Barlow can (and probably even ought to) play deeper in midfield too. I really can't see him not even getting 2-3 games for us. He just has to take them when they come.
