UEFA Youth League - BSC Young Boys vs United

He's booked Gomes for that? this fecking ref.

And that's not a booking! I'm gonna lose my mind here.

1-1 at half time, United clearly the stronger team. Questionable refereeing performance sees us 11 v 12, and I get the impression he's keen on making it 10 v 12. Laird, Bernard, Gomes, Garner, Greenwood and Bohui are all having good games. Chong started poorly but has grown into it. If we get an early goal in the second half I can see us scoring 3/4. Players seem to be struggling a bit with the pitch but nothing game changing.

Chong puts the ball in the net but is flagged offside, at the other end of the pitch Young Boys miss a very good chance to make it 2-1.

Playing with fire here, Young Boys nearly score again but luckily the shot is straight at the keeper. We need a second.

Horrible tackle from the Young Boys defender on Tanner, rightly booked. Traore coming on for Bohui.

EDIT: Tanner injured, coming off for Williams.

Chong hits the post after an excellent pass from Garner, still 1-1.

Greenwood booked

This ref is blind or useless.

Greenwood taken out on the edge of the area, the referee a yard away with perfect vision somehow has decided to book him for diving  this fecker should be ashamed of himself.

Baars and Puigmal on for Greenwood and Barlow, personally would've taken off Barlow about 30 minutes ago.

Apparently the referee's getting assessed at this match, rough, today's performance for him was like having Ofsted come in when your school's burned down.

Another chance goes begging for United, can't fathom how we haven't scored 2 this game.

Gomes scores from the spot!

Excellent save there by Kovar as Young Boys try and fail to cheat their way to a win. United pick up the 3 points though after a late Gomes penalty.

We certainly deserved the win on the day, could've been 4/5 on another day. Pulled off some good moves today and the usual suspects stood out, even though Chong started sloppy I think he went on to play very well in the end.
