UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

De Paul and Grizzie out and if this goes to penalties it's a bad omen for Aleti.

Correa should have pass to Alvarez, what a way to blow a chance

Second half wasn't as good a watch in terms of football, but enthralling all the same.

Vini's missed penalty might have some impact on Real's pen takers.
I see Oblak saving a few if it goes down to pens

Nothing is more fustrating in a tight match, teams trying to make something happen, than players going down, and we have to wait 2 minutes to get player off the field.

I obviously understand they are tired, having cramps, but still, just kills the flow.

Unless he decides to go elsewhere. I don't think he'll have a lack of suitors, regardless of what people on here think of him.
I don’t see anyone better than villa going for him tbh. He’s clearly on the decline, wants huge wages and doesn’t score goals.

Heh. With his team up 9-2, Raheem Sterling gets a yellow card in the 93rd minute and misses the quartersfinals.

You might be right. He’s refined his game - he’s not as explosive as before, but he’s still making an impact. Whether clubs better than Villa will come calling remains to be seen.

Atletico never getting over this Real Madrid hump are they? This one, like the finals has been there for them.... they've soaked it up again, and actually generated plenty to win.

Hope I'm wrong... but this happens every time

Him being suspended isnt really a big loss for Chelsea though, and as a plus Raheem will be fully rested to face the mighty Ipswich 3 days after the first leg.

It’s 30 boring minutes most of the time. If it was up to me I’d do the shootout straight after the final whistle, then have the 30 minutes extra time. Gives those who missed a chance to redeem themselves, and there’s something to play for in those 30 minutes as one team is chasing the game.

This definitely isn't boring!
