U23: Man Utd - Brighton

United being down to 10 men makes building up attacks more difficult for them. Every player is getting double/triple-teamed, and they barely have any passing options in the more central areas. To compensate for this, Helm has moved into the midfield, but even then, we're looking to play quick counters rather than maintain possession, which isn't a bad idea given how well Brighton have pressed us today.

Fernandez and Hoogewerf on for Svidersky and Shoretire.

Kovar with a spicy, slightly suicidal, pass there.

It's a good job Brighton isn't really that good. A half decent attack would have killed us off long ago.

I know his loan spell was rough but I still think Kovar's going to be a fantastic keeper one day. Brighton really trying to force a way through now.

At the other end Hoogewerf really needs to do better with his final ball there, breaks into the Brighton half are scarce as is.

To be a man down for 85 minutes and come away with a point is a fantastic result. Kovar was sublime. Thought pretty much all the lads gave it their all today and defended very well as a unit. Brighton's right winger and Caicedo were probably their best players.

Kwargis? He only played a few minutes but was dangerous.
