U21s: United vs Southampton

I've somehow managed to miss 15 minutes of this half

Can't remember who #4 is but that was horrendous defending for that Saint's goal.
 
Moorehouse with another great dribble. Very likely to be catching Amorim's eye with this standout performance

Think they were just on their way to/back from training. You don’t see much from behind the goal either.
 
Robinson seems to be 18, has had some decent moments including a good run a minute ago for Southampton. Very left footed though

Would like to say that was the best performance of the season so far, but it’s difficult to say when they don’t show games on tv.
 
Thanks again for all the updates. It was a very pleasing performance and result. Southampton did have 3 or 4 unchallenged headers in our box though, which reminded me of our first team.

Gore looked good throughout, but Moorehouse and Sharpe really caught my eye.

Good to see that Amorim was looking on.

“[It was] a really positive performance, though we’re always thinking of some areas to work further on. The challenge in the second half was to replicate the performance from the first, to be on the front foot and be exciting on the ball.

“[Ruben being here] reinforces the importance of the Academy and youth. Hopefully he’s walking away looking at some of the boys to involve them in training sessions. It’s really, really good to see senior staff watching the players play and hopefully they walk away with the same excitement as us.”
