U21s: United vs. Leicester

More like keep playing Vermjl at this level screwed his chance.Janko should play RB instead IMO.
Yep, Janko at RB and Harrop out wide or play a diamond or something would be best. I don't see Janko as a good enough winger either so he needs to be playing at RB, and he has said before himself he sees himself as a RB.

The fact that McNair and Adnan aren't in the squad today, but Blackett and Wilson are tells me that both will be starting against Palace. Probably Carrick and McNair at cb, which is fine with me. I think Carrick will be more valuable as a cb this season anyway. James and Tyler will most likely make the bench against Palace. Glad to see Harrop back and great to see Tom and Jack playing today.

I doubt it tells anything. Both featured recently in first team and yesterday for longer duration so don't need game time as much.

Btw anyone else think it's somewhat strange the U21s are still playing the diamond even though the 1st team appears to have switched to the 4-3-3?

Good to see Thorpe and Blackett getting the run out, hopefully Thorpe can convince van Gaal his right-footedness isn't an issue and starts him with McNair next first team game.

Barmby at left-back's gotta be an accident waiting to happen.

Poor from United so far. No purpose in the passing. Everyone has been guilty of wasting possession.

Poor from Blackett for the goal. The whole team have performed poorly today so far though. Disappointing.

That Hopper fella's the spitting image of Drinkwater.

Deserved lead for Leicester that.

We've been poor and could have been further behind if anything.

Leicester City are rooted at the bottom of the U21s table. I see they are, like their senior counterparts, game-raising cnuts.

Only just realised this is on. Pearson's back too

At this level the table position doesn't really matter much, the commentators also seem to be obsessed about the fact that Leicester are bottom

They brought down a few first-teamers and it's obviously working wonders for them. Slaughtered City 6-2 last week.

A bit of luck there but Billy the Kid deserves a goal tonight.
