Cheers gD. Haven't been very good at catching the U21s so far this season, but I've got a day off today so I'm definitely going to be on this.

Wonder if any of the lads (like Keane/Varela etc) will be left out with tomorrow in mind?

Johnstone, Keane, Keane, Varela and Cole strike me as possibilities for the LC, so it would certainly be telling if any of them are left out. Can't see anyone else featuring for the seniors.

What About Charni? He's someone who doesn't stand out, but is a decent player. With central midfield being our main issue, I could see him being in with a shout.

And I assume you missed out Thorpe accidently.

Ah, yes, Thorpe I did miss. But I don't see Ekangamene getting a look in precisely because of the midfield problems. We'll want to give Carrick a rare break, so we're hardly going to throw a youngster in alongside our already unconvincing other options there. It's surely bound to be Fellaini and either Cleverley, Anderson or Giggs. Maybe if Charni was the standout talent of the age group he'd have a chance, but as you say he's more one of the solid, dependable types who doesn't really stand out.

Fellaini's cup tied so I would expect it to be Jones and Giggs or Anderson in central midfield.

Hmm, so Fabio is playing tomorrow I'm presuming.

Fletch!

No Fabio or Zaha involved this time, so hopefully both playing tomorrow. No other names absent though.. Wilson and Perreira involved tomorrow is probably wishful thinking

Didn't play in the last U21 match either. Probably injured.

There's been an U19 CL game since then which he played in though hasn't there?
Yeah, he came off early but I didn't think he was injured. Would be nice to see him and Wilson in tomorrows squad.

Would have really liked to see at least one of Keane brothers involved in matchday squad tomorrow.

As much as I love Wilson, I don't see him getting a crack at the first team squad before Keane.

There's no way Pereira will be involved tomorrow. Other players have been better than him so I can't see him being involved.

Maybe with W.Keanes knee injury they think it's better for him to carry on playing with the U21s for the time being?

Wilson is in between the u18s and u21s, I just don't see it happening until maybe next season. Hopefully he goes on tour this summer.

Interesting observation and Moyes was known for promoting young players at Everton but it being PL opposition surely he'll try and win tomorrow night with more experienced players?

Yeah I agree just thinking why he could but it is highly unlikely given that he's only played a couple of U21 games.

Yeah. I don't think he'll be in the squad just clutching straws really but we'll see.
