Going to be a very, very young team today.

Gollini should start then after the rest at the weekend. You think this is why Daelhi only got 45 minutes? Was worried he was injured.

Anyone fancy a stab at the possible line up with so many in Turkey?

Barmby in on the bench perhaps?

I reckon Barmby, Lawerence, Bebe, Henriquez will start today. Joel Periera or Gollini should start. Whole of our defense is gone, our U18's defense will start.

Im guessing Veseli, Fornasier, Mculloch and Blackett as the back four.

Yeah actually them. I forgot about these guys.

What about the midfield though?

It's such a shame Bebe is shite...

I had visions of 70 odd thousand people belting out the Peter Frampton classic 'Ooooooo Bebe I love your way, everyday yaaayaaayyy'

Squad (from): Jonny Sutherland, Pierluigi Gollini; Frederic Veseli, Luke McCullough, Michele Fornasier, Reece James, Liam Grimshaw, Donald Love; Bebe, Charni Ekangamene, Adnan Januzaj, Luke Hendrie, Mats Daehli, Ben Pearson; Tom Lawrence, Angelo Henriquez, Jack Barmby.

Squad for today.Would love to see how Daehli, Januzaj and Pearson does in U21's.

Villa have a good academy. Will be a strong U21 side.

I reckon we'll lose this one. Villa's U21 will be very strong as they have a great academy. Will be a good experience for the young guys though.

Thats basically the team that reached the FAYC semi last season, give and take a few.

Im really excited about this. This will be a tough game and I expect us to get beat now with this very young inexperienced team, but it will be interesting to see if these players can implement their short passing style at this level despite their age.

Im guessing;

Gollini

Veseli Fornasier Mculloch James

Charni Hendrie

Bebe Lawrence Januzaj

Henriquez

Harsh but the only disappointment for me is that Bebe is still around taking up a space that I would rather see Barmby or Daehli get.

I'd personally start Pearson. I think he's a tenacious little fecker and could deal with the U21's.

I agree and hope he starts, but Charni and Hendrie are older and need the game time more at the moment so I can see Joyce going with them.

In all seriousness I have no idea what Bebe is still taking up a squad place for.

Excited to see the front 4. 3 of them have great potential, and Bebe is Bebe.

Hoping for a good performance from Januzaj. He's been on the periphery so far in the reserves.

Yeah...it's quite a step up. Bigger than most realise I think. Some folk get carried away after watching these and say 'let's see what they do in the first team'. I can see why the enthusiasm but the reserves is a big enough step...

I reckon Dæhli is more likely to start this one than Januzaj, considering the former was taken off at HT on Saturday.

Sutherland, Veseli, James, Hendrie, McCullough, Fornasier, Bebe, Lawrence, Henriquez, Januzaj, Ekangamene

Subs Barmby. Gollini. Daehli. Grimshaw. Love

Daehli starting ahead of Bebe would have made that perfect (presumably with him and Adnan then switched). Shame. Ah well, probably only one more season of the Bebe debacle before he gets quietly moved on.

Jan please. Waste of a squad space. It don't matter if he bangs in a hatrick really does it? He just has no future here.

Only got the GK wrong in my guess.

Shame there is no Pearson in the squad. They must still think hes too small.
