U21s: Oldham vs United

Slow start but as the game went on the lads grew into the game.
Impressed by Kone, though he needs to strengthen up. Obi is so dangerous. Moorhouse has class and so does Fredricson

Good open 45 minutes. Far from a dull 0-0.

Enjoyed watching Kone and Obi a lot. Especially Kone - very promising half showing some good technical ability and driving runs into space. And Obi looking a real handful even against senior professionals.

Yeah Koné and Obi definitely stood out. Kukonki too apart from two sloppy passes. Good defending.

Not sure how senior the Oldham side is though.

C'mon Sharpe, need to be doing a lot better than that

Obi isn't perfect but he has shown some very good touches. If he carries on in this progression, he could be knocking on the 1st team door very soon ( I hope)

Oldham seem to have made 11 changes from their starting line up in their last game.

But all of the bench players from that are starting, and the highest first team squad number amongst the starters was 40 - so it looks like it's a first team squad they've put out, just mostly squad players rather than key starters.

He’s got all the tools to be a first team level striker IMO

Moorhouse looks a talent, as does Kone to be fair

Sharpe could probably have a half decent career ahead of him if he improves his decision making

Double whammy with the 2nd and 3rd goals.

Great play from Kone for the 2nd. Great driving run and a lovely through ball - that was like when I used to drool over watching Guti play many a (left footed) through ball like that!

Kukonki is a unit. 16?? I'd have hated to come up against him on the rugby field, let alone on a football pitch

Must be our best U21 side in years, appreciate that's not saying much
