U21s: Manchester United vs Tottenham

Really? Never even noticed him apart from one foul he got away with.
Weir was particularly good in the first but dropped as Spurs got back in the game. Was quieter after the position change. Ben Pearson wasn't up to much today which is understandable having played 2 games in 3 days but Redmond kept things moving allowing everyone ahead of him to play. I though he was really good. The kind of player that ticks all the boxes without making too much noise today. He didn't drop his level today for 90mins.

by LVG's logic Andreas got minutes today so is benched for the next game

everytime I see Fosu-Mensah play, I am shocked as to how quick he really is.

Calm down.

What should he do, stare at it?

he's enjoying himself, stfu

Stare the ball to goal?

Jesus - didn't realize I would get slated. I was just making an observation. And if you look at it closely, he didn't turn away after he struck it - he turned away BEFORE he even hit the ball. I have no issue at all with showmanship and actually wish we had a little more of it - but in all my years involved in this game I have never seen a no look shot. To be fair, he pulled it off.

im with you, i like showmanship and showing of your skills if you are good enough but no look passes and no look shots are just meh. It doesnt have any use and it looks shit....

I am even fine with no look passes because it can deceive a defender - just thought it curious that he decided to go with the no look shot on an open net.

I have personally seen many and I think at this level it's really acceptable, if he missed nothing would have happened, it's not like he was doing backheel-ballotelli. It's also quite easy to finish like that, I have scored many goals in training over years as well and it's me. And Pereira himself almost demonstrated by this and taking corner as a shot, scoring from it, also mentioning it in the interview that the keeper didn't know what to do... etc, that this is just a training game for him, he's ready for the step up for a long time now and is waiting for the chance which should be coming much more often.

Can't see why we don't drop Mata and give this guy some gametime, surely he can do much more than being invisible
