how many defenders playing in the midfield today? it quite intense but none really want to take the ball and do sth with it..

Only saw the 2nd half, Blackett was good today.
Pereira seems to have developed an art of somehow avoiding a red card despite the overwhelming evidence against him.
Thought Blackett and Pereira had moments of class, otherwise we worked hard but didn't show much. Chelsea seemed to have far more players with a touch of quality.

I thought Vermijl was good as well.Solid today.Always gonna be a tough match with that midfield.
It was interesting that Kiwomya (not sure of the spelling) who got past Reece James a few times in the first half, didn't trouble Vermijl that much when he went to left-back.
Slightly off-topic but surely there must be some Championship or foreign clubs that would want Vermijl. He's a decent player, solid, keeps his error count low. He is 22 now, almost 23 so hard to see him as a first team player here. Very strange.

Good performance against a classy side. Defensively as solid as you'd expect from that line-up, attacking-wise not as shit. Keane needed to be an outlet with three defenders in midfield and he duly obliged.
Yeah hopefully he learnt a thing or two from the MK Dons match and reproduce this kind of performance for the first team when needed.
Considering the players missing it was a good performance in the end and if Keane, Weir or Janko were sharper we could have got something.
Expected a mismatch in terms of quality when I saw the line-ups but Chelsea were very underwhelming. I wasn't impressed by them at all.

Usually they have Musonda and Boga together though and caused more havoc with two of them being the difference makers.
We did get something. Arguably the most we could have hoped for given the circumstances.
