U21s: Blackburn vs United

Enjoyable game - though I've also had one eye on the transfer deadline news as well.

We should have been more ahead at HT. Then poor start to the 2nd, but improved again after that and were fully deserving winners.
 
Had the game in the background.
From what I saw Mather was always a danger on the left especially in the first half. Took his goal well in the second half.
Nice to see Ennis continue his good start to the season.
Bianchieri the fox in the box. Scored with his first touch..
Plenty of opportunities for both teams, an entertaining game. United deserving winners.
 
Jack Fletcher's a great talent

I only saw the 2nd half and highlights of the first and first goal. In the 2nd half I wasnt sure when he was on the ball to be honest as the commentators only seemed to ever mention Bloxham who had a few runs

If I'm not wrong he had a shot that was blocked by Ogunneye
 
A little summary while waiting for the U18s....

Mee was really solid - good game from him
Ogunneye - never been a huge fan to be honest, but yesterday he was really good - the best in the back 4
Fredricson - a few shaky moments when he tried to overplay out from the back - but generally good
Kingdon - generally ok - but he has looked better.

McAllister - I almost felt sorry for him. Had an awful game. Lost possession (I think) 6 or 7 times in our own half. Including when they scored. But also looked really easy to run past.
Curley - quite good - a few decent efforts on goal. OK defensively
Fletcher - very good - but had a moment when an easy pass would have put Mather through on goal - and he went for the safe option.

Mather - tricky, good with the ball at his feet. Good match - but one of two wrong options which could have put the game to bed earlier
Ennis - the best of the front 3 in an unusual position. Really nicely taken goal and was involved in a lot
Sharpe - the best moment of the game. The cross to Ennis' goal was almost impossible. A bit too anonymous but still a good game.
