U19s: REWE JUNIORCUP (9-12 January)

Win this by 16 goals or more and I think we can still win the group. It's only a bit more than a goal per minute.

Wonder how we managed to lose 6-1 to Gladbach....we should be too good for that

Because we have a group of extremely talented players....
I don't think you can really argue that the below list is an exceptional group for an u19s tournament, half of them are u16s. German clubs also just play a hell of a lot more indoor football than we do.

1 Byrne-Hughes
2 Kamason (C)
3 Mills
4 Helafu
5 Plunkett
6 McCormack
7 Brown
8 Shah
9 Bradbury
10 Thwaites

So do they. Their record this season 12-2-0, 46-9. The best in the league. And as @limerickcitykid said this is not our best/U19 team. I’m sure we would do better if we had Obi, Mantato & co. here.

We haven’t seen half of the team play before this, apart from maybe in Hong Kong.

And it’s not just talent that decides matches in an unfamiliar format.

Done really well to get a result there, Düsseldorf were really smart with their utilization of the boards but good save from Byrne-Hughes and blocks kept us in it.

Bradbury was keen to catch the keeper out and came so close to a second from our own box.
