I think it's very smart to test and trial these type of rules in youth tournaments. It's also good for the players' development to be forced to react to different scenarios they wouldn't face in normal matches.

Are the games available to watch in the UK?

I saw they were on ESPN NL, but not sure how to access that or if there's a subscription to join?

We pretty much need two wins today and then hope the other matches in our group end up being draws (or Jeonbuk beating PSV) to have a chance of winning the group. Top two go the semis but we probably need at least four points and possibly the full six to reach them.

Unfortunately no. And yeah you'd need a subsciption, I think. Ask @Gungerz :)
Thanks.

That's a shame, but at least it's the same group that we get to see plenty of times throughout the season. Though I was wanting to see how Tyler Fletcher played, as I see he's starting.

Drop me a PM, I can't seem to message you for some reason.

You and me both. There's also something special about these youth tournaments and it'd be nice to see more of them streamed (and free of charge). Luckily we'll see plenty of the new signings throughout the season.

Delighted to see Wheatley performing well and scoring a lot of goals. His time at the U18s so far has been underwhelming but hope he gets a lot of confidence from this weekend and starts banging them in in the U18 PL. We surely could use a striker who puts the ball in the back of the net. On all levels.

PSV take the lead against FC København. And the Danes level it straight after. 2-2

Yes, good to see Wheatley getting some goals.

Musa gets a decent amount but, as with McNeill, he doesn't seem to do much else in games. Wheatley looks to have a bit more about his game, but as you say had been underwhelming in terms of end product. Hopefully a good tournament here has him coming back to the U18's feeling like he really belongs there leading the line.

FT

United 3-2 Jeonbuk (Wheatley x3)
FC København 2-2 PSV

PSV 4 +1
FC København 4 +1
United 3 +-0
Jeonbuk 0 -2

15:00 BST PSV vs Jeonbuk
15:00 BST United vs FC København

Win and we’re in the semis, anything else and we’re most likely (unless we draw and Jeonbuk smash PSV with a big GD) in the playoffs for the 5th/6th place.

I wonder if the Höjlund twins are in the Copenhagen squad.

Nah, both are in the first team squad. Oscar just assisted a goal yesterday in the Danish Superliga. He's actually listed in their Otten Cup squad but yeah he's in the first team setup.

Looks like we changed all but one outfield player at HT. Smart with the demanding schedule. So it was the Flebut day!

Jeonbuk was apparently the better team in the first half but the second half team did much better. When you look at some of the names you kind of expect that too.
