Byrne-Hughes has been good. Distribution, both short and long looks very accurate.

Even though it feels like we’re playing with fire, at the same time we’ve defended very well. They’ve not really had any decent chances.

Arsenal knocked out, Man City currently 0-3 down against Derby and on their way out as well.
Reading or Sunderland in the group C currently going through as the best second placed team.

If I’m not mistaken it’s either Reading, Sunderland, Liverpool or Everton who will grab onto that 8th spot in the quarters. Leeds could do that too theoretically, but can’t see that happening.

According to them they go through as the second placed team in their group.
Haven’t heard of a format change, but does this mean there’s a Round of 16 this year with the top 2 from each group going through as do the two best third placed teams?
According to Aston Villa they "finished second in Group E behind the Cottagers. Their tally of five points did not prove enough to secure their place in the knockout stages as a best-ranked second place team."
Premier League says ”The seven group winners and the best runner-up, decided by total points and then goal difference followed by head-to-head record, will advance to the quarter-finals.”, but the article seems outdated.

That’s what I think too. It’s so weird though, they are hyping it on their website and everything.
Let them believe it for a couple more days, they need it after what happened to their first team today. They can find out on Monday
From everything I’ve seen it’s first place from 7 groups and best runner up into quarters. Leeds and Crystal Palace both have 6 points and +2 GD so one of them gets final qualification place.

To make it even more confusing, it seems like Arsenal also think every second placed team goes through to the next round.
In terms of their group it’s irrelevant now as Liverpool won the group and Arsenal finished third.

So as the final group fixture has now been played, I'm looking forward to the news that Man City are out despite celebrating after their last defeat.
The teams that have, as far as I know, qualified for the quarters are:

The draw has already happened but for some reason it hasn't been properly announced. Liverpool vs Chelsea is one of the ties.
Perhaps they wanted to honour the last group game even if it couldn’t make a change to the quarter-finalists.
