U18s: Tottenham vs United

Lacey probably had his best match for United - I have seen him good before, but nothing like this. That was a 10/10 performance

No doubt Lacey changed the game. The game was electrified since he got on. Shame we couldn't get the equaliser at the end

Feels like it's good to have a lost like this in the Cup to keep everyone in their toes after 100% record in the league and a 9-0 win, whilst not impacting the league position. At least we know where we should pay attention to if we want to go far in the FA Youth Cup campaign.

Lacey by far best player since he came on.

It's not a surprise Lacey did this. He was making the u18s look too easy before his injury. The competition that he looked to be getting challenged with was the u19 uefa youth league.

Thank God we'll most likely never have that ref again, with her most likely being London based. There weren't any major calls that went against either side really but she was just shocking.

Blew exactly on 97 at the end despite booking a Spurs player for timewasting & having seen another go down with cramp.

U16s won their cup game 2-0 with Ibrovic-Fletcher scoring both.

I’ll rather we lose in the league than a cup game. We can make it up in the league.

Exactly my feeling. And that applies with the senior team too.

Unfortunately there does seem to be a modern thinking that most cup competitions don't really matter, and it's all about the league (with the exception of the CL at senior level and FA Youth Cup at this one).

FT

Leeds 4-1 Leicester

Saturday 23 November
United vs Leeds
Leicester vs Spurs

Leeds 2 +5 6
United 2 0 3
Tottenham 2 -1 3
Leicester 2 -4 0

So we need a big win to go past Leeds, as I’ve understood it’s 1) goal difference and 2) head-to-head when on level points. We also need at least an equal result to Spurs in their last game as I wouldn’t count on being the best second-placed team with six points.

Anyhow it’s a good challenge for the boys, it’s been a bit too easy so far this season.

I am surprised - because up until today he was never a player who got a lot of goals and assists - but glide past defenders near the touchline - yup that he did frequently. If he can add more points to his game - he is a world-class prospect....but he needs to do that more consistently

I'm pretty sure you weren't watching before his injuries then, he scored loads of goals.
