City: Muric - Rosler,Latibeaudiere,Kigbu,Wilson - Francis,Dele-Bashiru - Bolton,Foden,Sancho - Gonzalez

Gribbin still injured for this?

You've put Buffonge there twice. One of them should be Boonen, correct?

Yeah I've changed it.

No idea which players are coming back from injuries but I don't think Gribbin will play for the U18s when he comes back.

"There's obviously a lot of attacking talent in the team and that's shown in the last three games," coach Kieran McKenna told MUTV. "In terms of the whole group taking on slightly new ideas about how we can go about our business on the pitch, they are being really open and some of the fruits of that have come out.

"There's some real talent there. Obviously, it's down to a lot of good work done way before me so credit to the people who have put the work into those boys. Hopefully, my job is to set them up in a way that exposes their talent the best and give them the things they need to make the next step."

City's start to the season has included an eye-catching 7-0 success over Liverpool but McKenna's side are currently ahead of the Blues in the table and the coach is confident his team can take the game to the club's neighbours.

"It's a game everyone is looking forward to," said McKenna. "It's a good yardstick of where we are and where the boys are. Every game is important in their development, and that's always emphasised, but we know that it's the Manchester derby and, for the boys, familiar opposition in blue on a personal level for a lot of them.

"We know there will be an extra little edge to it so it's going to be, I would think, a fantastic game between two good sides. We're looking to go there and impose our football on them."

It's gonna be a physical battle for the whole defence today, with Sancho, Bolton and Gonzalez. I hope Hamilton can play, to keep track of Dele-Bashiru's runs from Midfield as I don't think Whelan can keep up with him and Buffonge doesn't seem like he has the discipline to do that job, yet. Should be a very good game however.

manutd.com says that Gomes is joint top scorer in the league so far with 5 goals and 5 assists in 5 games. Not bad for a midfielder.

Could be a crazy game today with our shakey defence. I have no clue how this one will turn out.

Our defence isn't necessarily shakey, it's been unsettled. This is another game where it's a another defensive partnership in the middle. It's been that way the whole season so far, it doesn't help.

Working stream anybody? I cant find one on usual places:o:o:o

Pitch is slow and too big for players of this age group.

We're making too many unforced errors. Tanner is struggling with Sancho, O'Connor would be better for that, but he's doing well in the middle.

Our attacking players not quite clicked yet, City very dangerous on the counter especially on the left with Sancho who's the outstanding player on the pitch so far. Tanner having a lot of problems against him.

Perhaps missing Hamilton in the midfield as we lack physicality.

Wasn't Tanner the guy who struggled a lot with the WBA left-winger as well ?

we lack quality in the middle....DJ is not a midfielder and Whelan is average at best.

Yeah he is, but he isn't a rb naturally. He's struggling and we get caught on the counter too easily. There is t much between the teams however.

I really wish MUTV wasn't using a city stream, can't stand this bias by the commentator.

Honestly, what even is the point of this stadium if you can't even fill half a stand for one of the biggest games?

United could have been a few in front if the final ball was better.
