How are u21s languishing in 13th in PL2 considering how successful they were last season at u18? Expected they would have challenged, suppose they still could with top 16 going into play off system, but that was pretty strong squad today you would not expect to get comfortably beat at Sunderland.

If players can handle the pressure and excel then it is on to the next step and we can get excited about a first team prospect.

On that basis of yesterday’s line up you would expect Amass, Fletcher, Wheatley, and Kone to look comfortable at this level.
Only watched them once this season due to lack of coverage so hard to gauge, the game I did watch them I thought they would be up amongst it. Possibly still will in the long run
This was a pretty good warmup for the U18 PL Cup game in a few weeks time where United need to beat Leeds by a 5-goal margin to have a chance of making the knockouts.
Started checking the standings ahead of Saturday, perhaps I counted wrong but isn’t the difference now 5 goals in gd? So if we score three, thus Leeds conceding three, we’re ahead, no?
