Barlow and Diedrick-Roberts on for Bohui and Burkart.

Sunderland have been aided by the refs reluctance to punish their kicking and poor challenges

I do not use exclamation points frivolously but O'Connor is a goddamn machine!

He's what Daley Blind would be like if he had ridiculous pace

Yeah, I reckon that's a fine comparison though I've yet to see his right foot looking quite as special as Daley's left.

Good performance despite the result. Finishing was awful however.

Our gk had one thing to do all game and he fecked it up.

I rate Hamilton higher and higher everything I see him play.

O'connor was brilliant again. Best Irish young player at the club for a long time. Since Brady at least anyway.

I'd be tempted to promote Buffonge to the U23s full-time with Hamilton and maybe Warren as well and see how the rest cope with it.

Warren wasn't too good today, maybe he isn't fully sharp yet.

Felt a bit sorry for the keeper there, presumably a bit of nerves as I think it was his début? Still, he got on with it and still looked relatively confident on the ball after that which was a decent sign for him I suppose.
