Not can I, not £50m and Nani. I would of thought around £35m + Nani and at the most £40m.
I wouldn't be pissed off if he did cost the most, he's awesome

I'd rather go to £40m and throw Evra on top. Rumours say Zaha will leave aswell, which will leave us with only Young, Januzaj and Valencia - thats just not enough. Even if van Gaal wants to play 3-4-3, he will need wingers, bcos that system wont work against everyone, and in all fairness, going Mata, RVP and Rooney upfront with no proper players to sub in/out is gunna run us dry. Even if we end up with Di Maria, I still feel Nani would have a role to play under van Gaal - a much larger role than Valencia, whose too one-dimensional and cannot even pass 3yards with his left foot.

Spend £50m on Vidal, sign Di Maria and/or Sanchez, then we get negotiate a transfer to Juventus for Nani.

The Full WAZ article saying we have made a concrete offer for Ricardo Rodriguez.

He would've been my first choice if the Shaw transfer happened, his stats are insane! Don't get why we'd be in for another potential LB unless he came cheap.

34 League games - 5 goals - 9 assists for a LB that's only 21 years of age.

Are they reliable?

This.

I'd be amazed if we've bid for Rodriguez now with Shaw wrapped up. Would be even weirder than spunking £60 million on Cavani.

Possible that Rodriguez is to cover both LB and RB, and Evra to Juve?
Not sure if we'd bring him in for cover, Wolfsburg have no need to sell and are very rich; an offer of £20m upwards would be needed to get him. Cannot see his happening.

So Chelsea decided not to buy hime because he is not good enough, according to their scouts.

Think those stats might be helped because he takes set pieces.

Chelsea don't need him. He'd just end up out on loan like most of the signings they've made in the last few years. That'd be the main reason why they'd decide not to buy him.
Chelsea do love to sign players just to spite their rivals, though.

Clubs overlook talented players all the time, also Chelsea don't need him. There's also the tendency that unproven young players usually don't make it to the first team there.

Surprised he hasn't been sent back. Doubt he gets another match very much.

Anyway, Kuipers, Brych got sent back with Germany and Netherlands in the Semi's and Mazic got sent back too for some reason.

All other UEFA ref's seem to be staying.

If we're looking to buy Ricardo Rodriguez it'd mean Evra's on his way out and heading to Juve..

Huh? So why have we bought Shaw? For me Rodriquez is a better left back with a higher ceiling (as it stands), which means he would start every game for us?

Blatent bs as we have signed Shaw for £30million

Not really, he's better than Shaw & we didn't spend £30m on him for him to be back up.

I'm not saying he's here to be a Buttner type of signing, just that it might be a sign that Evra is on his way out and we want to have good competition for Shaw at LB..

I feel to replace a Legend like Evra we need two fantastic left backs to play together to offset the loss of the great man.;)

Given that we have just spent £30M on a left back the Ricardo Rodriguez rumour is a very odd one to make up.

Agent trying to drive up his price or put the player on market perhaps? It is really strange tbh.

If the plan was to drive up the price it would surely make more sense to link him to a club that hasn't just broke the world record for a LB though.

Err the Rodriguez rumour seems pretty ludicrous. That would be like having Ashley Cole and Patrice Evra in the same team. Breaking the bank on Shaw and lining up a move for Rodriguez would be the most bizzare move ever given that they're both potentially one of the best LBs in the world. Unless we plan on moving one of them to the wing.
