Makes Wenger come across as bitter, quite happy to be a feeder club to City but as soon as we get involved he'd rather lose the transfer fee altogether.

1/2 Arsene Wenger adamant he won't sell RVP to #mufc The clubs owners happy for the player to remain and see out his contract. United are..

2/2 aware of the situation and even a bid of £20m+ MIGHT not do it such is Wenger's stance. RVP relaxed with the situation.

What a load of utter drivel.

If that was the position from the start, why have they been wasting our time?

I reckon he'll sign for Shitty by the end of the week...

So why hasn't Wenger spoken up, saying that RVP won't go to United?

Mere posturing. Arsenal have every intention of cashing-in.

Van Persie will not be there at the start of the season, I don't know who the journo above is, or why anyone is taking his word any more seriously than the overly optimistic people saying it was a done deal, but to suggest any company would pass up £20 million for the sake of it is laughable.

I really don't get why he'd rather sell to City than us, it doesn't make sense.

I imagine they sold Nasri and Clichy to City against their wishes but because a) they couldn't turn down the silly money being offered, b) the 2 players were set on getting City wages and wouldn't consider other clubs or c) no foreign clubs came in for them. Or a combination of those factors. With van Persie, presumably neither ourselves or City have offered the silly money yet and Arsenal had some hopes that a foreign club would come in for him.

I do think Arsenal would rather not sell to ourselves or City, but if there are no alternatives they might have to.

I am getting paranoid now. It's like everyone likes sticking two fingers up to us. Then sell their players to someone else. They will pay for this. I'm telling ya.

If this is Arsenal's stance then why have we been "negotiating" with them?

If they didn't want to sell him to us surely a simple "he's not for sale" would have sufficed?

This is posturing people.

Right, I am banning agent_153 twitter posts in here now. He's had his 5 minutes of fame, now ignore him.

Most rumors on Twitter are bullshit, but no need to post the 100% BS ones.

Unless of course he suddenly turns out to be right about something...

Because of the below 2 Tweets #mufc are prepared to consider other options. Debating another bid given AW attitude. #afc #mufc

Good, maybe an option that doesn't play there and plays in, oh, say midfield!

City only paid £7M for Clichy. With that one I think his long run of poor form had Wenger thinking he was past his best so he flogged him on the cheap.

that there is the reason why this tweet, just like almost all of them, is bullshit

I doubt Wenger has a 100% say in who RvP does sign for. Do we really think the Arsenal board are happy to throw away the reported 20mill fee we bid? They'll fold like they did with Nasri once a offer comes in they want.

Sorry but i just got a phonecall. #Owen is an #EFC player. He will release it on twitter tomorrow and will be present at training ground

It's all happening in the world of the English Ari Gold.

Just for info: Brophs will be banned for 24 hours, if Ramirez doesn't sign for Liverpool and Owen doesn't sign for EFC tomorrow.
