Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

No different than he does on Twitter every single day.

Is actually him though? On Twitter, and not one of his aides?

You'd think he'd have better things to do than spew bollocks on Twitter.

Oh it's DEFINITELY him. 100%

You can tell when one of his aides is doing the Tweeting.

My word. I actually thought it was one of his minions. He really is batshit crazy.

When Megyn Kelly thinks Putin has something on Trump I'm starting to wonder just how bad it really is.

Worse than the pee tape

What if the entire Trump empire is controlled by Putin? All the oligarchs are and they provided the funding to him when he needed it after all the bankruptcies.

What if Putin has Deutsche Bank in his grips? The Cyprus bank where they hide their money for sure but Deutsche Bank would be insane.

That makes sense, its the hardest to prove and often defined vaguely. If there are monetary crimes that can be proven they have a substantially bigger impact.

And presumably having some sort of underlying crime would make the obstruction one much easier to prove too.

He might panic and fire Mueller precipitating the inevitable if Mueller finds something to stick on one of the family members.

Also, he could be planning to use the obstruction of justice charge to initatiate his impeachment and then when he’s been stripped of his power, hit him with the array of serious charges when he no longer has the power of the pardon.

Obstruction of justice has already been proven to be an impeachable offense (even though a deal was cut for Nixon and it was never needed), as yet it’s unclear what would happen if the President was hit with charges and proceeded to pardon wherever he can to disrupt the court case.

As much as it would be great to see the pantomime villains like Trump and Nunes taken down it's the people with ideologies like Prince that are the truly dangerous ones. Privatising American foreign policy into the hands of the likes of him would be some sort of dystopian nightmare.

Doing that though would basically be admitting the guilt of those people to the nation. Also, it would bring back up the question of if a president can pardon himself... which would also be an admission of guilt. It’s a Catch-22.

A pardon has to be used on legitimate grounds, not as a vehicle to obstruct justice. So if Trump were to ever pardon anyone, it can't be used as a weapon against the Mueller probe.

I posted the original so I thought it was fair to post the reply, I obviously can't judge either way if it is actually a question of phrasing etc.
Yeah, it was fair enough. It was my reaction to the story, not your post, if that makes sense. I won't add anti-semite when describing uncle vlad.

It’s of little consequence when all is said and done. If anything it’s probably for the best as it removes the excuse for Nunes to subpoena any evidence he’s got wind that Mueller has uncovered in order to pass it on to Trump and his lawyers.

The GOP report will be ridiculed, of that I have no doubt.

What was the point of these other 'investigations' (House and Senate is it?) if they've had the Mueller thing running alongside them all along.

To give some semblance of non-partisan caring about the ruination of US democracy.

Based on what I’ve read about him, Manafort may be safest in prison. Not only from nerve-agent wielding assassins, but from himself.
