Tron Legacy

I see a lot of movies and have watched some absolute garbage due to having an unlimited cinema card, but this film does not interest me whatsoever. I can't put my finger on what in the trailer puts me off so much - i'm looking forward to seeing reviews to see if it's worth going against my gut instinct!

I feel very similar, maybe it's because the old one looks so archaic, but I dont really have any desire to see the film at this point

Its like an orgasm for your eyes and ears with a decent storyline. Loved it.

Reviews are mixed, ranging from incredible to dull-but-looks-great, but lets be fair, this is kind of a niche film.... I'll be surprised if it has mainstream success.

It seems that fans love it, geeks love it because they understand it, noobs who have no knowledge of the first end up either liking it for the action/gloss or finding it confusing and boring, and Spoony reportedly had an epileptic fit...

My friend

Should prob mention the women, Olivia Wilde is a mighty fine piece of ass.

I have to see this. Didn't see the original, but the trailer to it was on one of our vhs films in the 80's. Always FF'd through cause it scared the shit out of me

I have wanted to see the original for some time and I am very surprised no tv networks are showing it to piggyback the release of Legacy

Probably because it looks very dated now, todays young generation would, imo, take to it like how some people think black and white films are shit simply because they arn't colour.

Nowadays I would say it is a pretty average film, go back to when it first came out and my view would probably be alot different....probably how we will find the new film.

I only saw the original recently (last year possibly) on TV. It looked pretty good still, but I doubt the younger kids would have thought so.

I watched it the other day with my daughter and it was decent.... and I think it has been shown on terrestrial recently.

How much did Avatar make?

Cost to make or make in the box office?

It cost 280m, it made 2 billion +.

If there's any justice Tron should make that, it's better than Avatar, but probably won't attract the more casual cinema goer. Shame.

Watched it yesterday. First of all, the soundtrack is fantastic. I was never into Daft Punk but this was just incredible, a type of 80s techno synth Vangelis techno pop style, mixed with some heavy orchestra, just awesome. The movie itself was great. I honestly couldn't care less for the holes in the plot and some other minor illogical stuff, visually it blows you away. Could have been a bit shorter, imo (cutting some of the talking scenes).

Just got back from the IMAX, visualy awesome, story not so good but tge visuals really were stunning. And top soundtrack.

Olivia Wilde is fecking hot - one of the hottest women on the planet I should say.

Have to agree with most thoughts: the story was weak and simple however the visuals and the soundtrack were impressive.

The main character Sam looked too much like PIG, complete with excellent shot stopping (ring catching) but struggled when it came in at an angle (Corners/crosses).

Wanted to like this... but.... nah. 6/10. Not enough going on for me...

Looked good though..

My sisters want to watch this, but is it really worth splashing out on a film that is merely just a soundtrack with special effects?

Seeing this tomorrow.

Will not doubt be lame city but I'm thinking it can't be anymore pathetically weak than Avatar

Decent enough for a mindless cinema flick.

Most memorable moments were the unintentionally cheesy/funny ones though.

"I've never seen the sun before, what does it look like?"
"Er....I've never had to describe it......it's warm...radiant..."

"What's his problem?"
"wrrrgrgrgrhrgrh!"
