Well we have to free up the 11 shirt for Bale.
I think its a very good opportunity for him to develop his game. Getting games there might be tough but if he gets into the team, he could develop a lot there rather than being in and out of team here. We have Fellaini, Perreira, Herrera, Mata and even Rooney who could play there.
All eyes on OT for the next 24 hrs or so. Absulutely crazy that yet again we are in this position for the 3rd season running....

Regards to bringing players in, I think selling clubs are getting more and more stubborn and prefer to keep saying no until the last day as it brings higher fees.
In regards to us letting players go, I think we are confident our players have suitors so we prefer to wait until we have finalised our squad before letting players go.

Logically though, wouldn't the selling clubs prefer to sort this out earlier so it gives them a chance to get in a replacement? I think we might have gotten Mane if we went in for him earlier. What you say also makes sense though and is probably the case here, along with us prioritising better targets early in the window.

I'd let him go. He can play on the right side of there attack and they play good football. The guy needs games in a less physical league where he can learn to man up.
