Cuadrado to come and leave Chelsea in the same year. I remember when the Serie A experts were vouching for us to sign this guy last summer

Article mentions Pogba. No chance. I'll be over the moon if we get Stones, though.

Feck me sideways. Sterling, Otamendi and KDB. They have made some deals there.
Still wouldn't be much a better window than we have had. They were ahead of us anyway though (not a terrible amount either). So we need more.

Brilliant acquisitions but they're problems had nothing to do with scoring goals, they were already the best at it in the league. Otamendi is arguably the most important signing out of those 3 for them. Still think they could have got a better midfielder than Delph cause 1 injury to Yaya and their midfield looks pretty average, still I guess it doesn't have to do much with the abundance of riches going forward.

It means they're going to be bloody dangerous even if Aguero gets injured. Bad news. They'll win the league if they sign him.

I'm worried they're gunna walk it, hope we've either got someone big lined up or we gel really well.

Exactly City haven't been short of goals in recent seasons and these kinds of signings rarely equal more goals it just equals more goals spread about. Biggest thing for City to be successful this season is getting Kompany and Toure back to their best. I still think their manager will continue to be found out in the UCL as well

They haven't really signed any goalscorers. De bruyne will probably play some kind of free role and he averages 1 goal in 5. Silva averages the same and
we all know how terrible Sterling is at finishing.
They have a team of assiters but again they'd be relying on Toure to provide the bulk of goals from elsewhere.
They need a goal scoring wide man IMO, a Reus or Bale.

Willfried Bony says hello.

Who knows, maybe Otamendi will not be so good, maybe he'll do a Mangala in his first year. And who knows maybe KDB will fail too in the PL. :)
Wishful thinking I know. All three (with Sterling) are good acquisitions but anything can happen and I woulnd't go so far as claiming already they'll walk the league.

He can say hello all he wants, he won't get many minutes.
'If Aguero gets injured'. Problem for City is this is quite likely, but as far as back up strikers go, City have the best one in the PL.

Following the sheep is believing that when it happens to other clubs they are lying when they say they were never interested, but when it comes to your own buying the story that LvG pulled the plug instead of just accepting we got done in the same way we did PSG and Liverpool, that's thinking for yourself.

You're still missing the point - I don't care whether LVG pulled the plug , Pedro preferred Chelsea or whatever the reason was, LvG and Woodward know what they are doing - far more than you, me , some journalist stirring up a nonsense story or the Queen Mother

90% of what is spouted by the papers is rubbish. I only deal with facts

We are not signing Pedro - personally good news
Maybe we will sign a player I don't like before the end of the window, but I will still support him 100% and the club

Up to now excellent transfer window - one top class forward and we're there

I admit that I'm not a fan of Serie A so I didn't see too much of him. But from the WC and the handful of times I saw the guy play, I never got the hype. Reminded me of Valencia to be honest.

All that has been in the papers is us trying to get the price of Pedro down...so all he sees is that we don't think he is worth it...not phone calls off the manager convincing him we want him

I'm talking about in the first eleven. Bony and Aguero will rarely start together still leaving one genuine goal scorer in their front 4.
Unless City are expecting Kompany to score from corners in every game or Fernandino keeps smacking them in from 25 yards.
Last year Aguero kept them afloat before Christmas, he was genuinely world class. When he tailed off and Toure misfired, Lampard stepped up and papered over the cracks. The Lampard express came to a halt and City were left exposed.
Look at their game v Chelsea. The reason it was Begovich v Aguero wasn't because Aguero was creating chance after chance for himself, it was because he was the only City player getting into the proper goal scoring positions. I can't think of any chance that another City player had in that first half.

.

Fair point but even with the injuries lack of form etc they still scored 21 goals more than us in the league and conceded just one more. Sterling is a good player there is no doubting that so he will provide them with further cutting edge and IF they get De Bruyne too alongside Silva that is frightening despite the 1 in 5 stat you mentioned. Bony for me is a very adequate back up with 38 goals/84 apps since moving to England especially considering the amount of chances that City create each game.
My concern is more on us, 5 goals in our last 8 premier league games is worrying and scoring only 62, 64 in last two seasons compared to 86,89 the two before is very worrying. I really hope we make an attacking signing before 1/9, hopefully not the current linked player Mane.

The fact that we aren't being linked with any gettable player apart from Mane suggests that it's unlikely that we are going to be buying someone unless a deal like Falcao opens up on deadline day.

I beg to differ, the fact that the media only know we 'place' bid after 1 week shows how clueless the media is. I'm sure we have plans that the media do not know.
