Sterling wasn't in his best form either and is still a kid. I reckon he'll be better than Di Maria, who has only had one good year himself in the big leagues.

What utter nonsense.

Well that's just not true.

I never had anything against City and their money investing in academies, buying players but this is what i dont like club running that way,if true they gonna pay freaking 49 mil. and 200k p/w for 20 year old Sterling,i mean this will do wonders for market inflation.

I met Peter Schmeichel in Copenhagen airport a few weeks before the season ended and asked him about transfers this summer, his reply was: "I wouldn't know anything about that, but i like guessing like the rest of you"

Is he nice?

Hoping for some Schneiderlin news later tonight. There must be some reason why he wasn't in the Southampton squad.

The underrating of certain of our own player compared to the constant overrating of others is quite irritating.

Was always on the cards once FFP was relaxed their back to their old tricks of just chucking the sheiks spare change at clubs, I'm surprised the Scousers didn't fleece them for more.

Well, he was kind enough to answer my question, but generally seemed like he'd rather be left alone

Yeah, I'm surprised that he answered in the first place and he must be scary when not smiling.

How much wages did we put Rooney on at the time when we signed him for 25 million or about ?

Btw,really rate him but Sterling is no where near best winger in the league right now. I'd contend even Ashley fecking Young was better last season not to mention Hazard Sanchez and likes.

However he has terrific potential. How his attitude is after this 200k deal will be key in how he grows.

The lads living in Manchester might find out soon enough.

I actually see him rather often, i work out there and he travels like every other day, but only had the guts to ask him anything once

49 million. Jesus Manchester city really are mental. Fair play to Liverpool if they get it. Sterling is overrated

Imagine, just for a second, that you had to share a changing room with Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany, Raheem Sterling and Samir Nasri!

 now that you mention it, he will fit in very well at City

He is overrated at the moment, what City have done is pay 50 million for potentially a 50 million pound player. There's no denying the kid is talented and I would, disregarding his history, take him here without a second thought.

Anyone think we'll get a full on muppet signing like Di Maria last year? Not a Bastian or Morgan type signing (those are logical and doable signings). I'm talking a transfer record breaking mental superstar type deal? Di Maria was semi-linked for ages, but it wasnt until the week before that the rumours got concrete. It was kind of out of the blue. We are wrapping up some great business this window, but you still hear that Van Gaal and Woody want the BIG signing as well. Like all the talk of Muller, Bale, Ramos and whoever else that gets linked to us. Seems our current board like the idea of a expensive name. Wouldnt be shocked if we get all our predicted business in early and that go mad for someone in August.

If we do get one, I imagine it would have to be a striker. That's the one position where there isnt anything that screams definite. The defence and the midfield targets seem gettable.
