This has also fuelled more speculation about United going after Zirkzee, especially after Sesko decided to remain at Leipzig for next season at least.

I'm not sure how Brighton gets compensated for this given that de Zerbi is no longer their employee, but:
 
Agreement in principle between #OM and Roberto De Zerbi. 3 year contract. OM hopes to finish within 48 hours.
After the slowness of discussions with Sergio Conceicao, OM turned to de Zerbi who had just terminated his contract with Brighton. He was immediately aware of OM's interest. The Italian coach has also refused an English club in recent days. Acceleration in recent days with Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia who met the Italian several times.
