Brilliant. What a great announcement video. I thought there was a thread for social media activity by players/clubs but can't find it.

I thought that was terrible, just piggybacking on the success of something far more popular than Burnley!

This is another example of why I'm glad United just keep it low key with their announcements now.

We can't compare Burnley to United. Our announcement have a large base because of the millions of fans.

Imagine being Burnley's social media manager with your target metrics dependent on engagement. They need to be clever and creative to generate attention in their signings who otherwise no one will pay any heed to. I think they are doing it well but can understand a different point of view.

To be fair, I hadn't considered it from that point of view, and now that I have I can see what you mean. The tweet had 5.4m views, so whoever is doing them over at Burnley is earning their keep in that respect.

Still, glad we don't try and go OTT anymore since Sanchez and that piano. Short and sharp works better.
