A large summary of what the deal means for Barcelona and how this will affect their transfers:

  • Barcelona have decided to sell 49.9% of Barça Licensing and Merchandising (BLM) + 10% - 25% of their La Liga broadcasting rights.
  • Total proceeds: 400-800 million Euros
    • BLM sale: 200-300 million Euros
    • Broadcasting rights: €200m per 10% of the rights (or up to €500m in total)
      • For the current fiscal year (ending on June 30), they will sell only 10% of the rights
Transfer plans:
  • Defence
    • Barcelona hope to buy both Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta for low prices.
      • Azpilicueta has a promise from Granovskaia to be allowed to leave even after the 1-year extension.
    • Chelsea are interested in Barcelona's Alejandro Balde.
    • Koundé prefers Barcelona and is waiting for their proposal despite Chelsea's advanced interest.
      • Barcelona will hope to offer cash + players to Sevilla.
  • Midfield
    • Xavi prefers Real Sociedad's Martín Zubimendi to take over from Busquest.
    • Xavi wants Bernardo Silva for one of the more advanced midfield roles.
      • Bernardo wants to play for Barcelona.
      • Conditional on Frenkie De Jong leaving
        • Sale no longer necessary for financial reasons, but Xavi doesn't like Frenkie's profile (Bernardo's is more appealing to him)
    • Barcelona hope to finally be able to seal Gavi's contract renewal.
  • Attack
    • Barcelona sees Ousmane Dembélé as being more likely to leave the club than stay.
    • Already an agreement in principle with Raphinha, but Leeds are asking for €50m, which is expensive for Barcelona.
    • Barcelona can finally offer Bayern Munich a tempting offer for Lewandowski.

That choice of clubs is underwhelming but i am glad that the figured out what was wrong with him so it could be treated. It cost him beings worldclass but he is still earning millions kicking a ball, has his health figured out and seems like a reflected guy.

Yeah, Romano was reporting in May that Demiral's option would be triggered by Atalanta. After that, Di Marzio reported that Atalanta won't trigger the purchase option, but yesterday, they suddenly had a change of heart and decided to trigger his option in the end. Romano, however, never changed his tone throughout this period.

There are worse things in life than being able to choose between Benfica und the current EL champion. Given that his career seemed to be all but over a few years back, it's actually a remarkable turnaround.

Paris Saint-Germain will pay 40 million Euros to FC Porto for Vitinha. French club hasn't informed FC Porto yet but the decision is already taken. Vitinha will sign a five-year contract at PSG.

A case of déjà vu here (reported by Matteo Moretto):

In the next few hours, Juve will receive Di Maria's official response, who will try to convince him by offering him a contract tailored to his needs: 1 year guaranteed and 1 year optional.

Barça's option is the one that has most appealed to the player and his family for the last two weeks, when the interest of the Catalan giants became clear.

The Argentine does not want to wait without guarantees and Juve have seen a loophole to try to sign him NOW.
