Sassuolo are also interested in Genk's Kristian Thorstvedt, who's an attacking #8 that scored 7 goals in 45 appearances last season.

The names discussed with Mendes....
❌ CR
✅ Koundé
Ruben Neves offered again...

Wow, a £57m signing let go on a free whilst under contrct. And over here, they've tried to 'protect the value' of players such as Phil Jones

Tbh Real have sold very very well in recent years, hence they can take a hit without worrying. They've spent less (net) than Leeds united this past decade!

Shades of Moyes wanting to keep Rooney here. Note that al-Khelaifi didn't rule out Neymar leaving the club a few weeks back in his interviews with both Marca and L'Équipe. He even hinted at Neymar being on the chopping block by talking about how the club will become less about glitzy, glamorous superstars from this point on.

Early morning transfer news: KRC Genk are about to lose Kristian Thorstvedt to Italian side Sassuolo. Clubs approach agreement on double-digit transfer fee.

He's one to keep an eye on. Thorstvedt may become the next midfielder that everyone wants in a year or two.

The Rodrygo renewal story:

While waiting for Operation Sell to move forward to be able to think about any more signings, there is still a lot of movement in the Real Madrid offices.

In a few minutes, news in Marca.

Rodrygo, renewed until 2028

Real Madrid put an "anti-sheikh" clause on his contract: 1,000 million Euros. The idea is that it will be signed next week.
