Update: Jordan Siebatcheu is scheduled to fly to Berlin today. Medical check tomorrow. The striker will then sign a 4-year contract with Union Berlin. The €6m fee can be increased by a further €2m through bonuses.
Exclusive: Union Berlin seem to have found a successor for Taiwo Awoniyi: According to SPORT1, the Köpenicker are about to sign Jordan Siebatcheu from Young Boys Bern. The 26-year-old American was top scorer in Switzerland (22 goals) and is said to cost around €6m.

I'm noticing lots of activity revolving around Americans this summer.

EDIT: Updated with more info

Fabian Ruiz isn't renewing with Napoli, contract ends 2023 will either sell this summer or can negotiate as of Jan 2023.

Is it worth sending Murtough there now? He should be able to get it over the line by 2024. obvious joke is obvious white text etc

Interesting. I guess players are trying to get in the best position to get on the WC roster. Definitely a consideration for Zach Steffan. Maybe even Reynolds. Cannon probably needs to move as well. Interesting Pulisic is being mooted for a transfer/swap. McKenzie was mentioned earlier but that talk has died down.

Pefok did very well as a poacher for Young Boys, but not sure if it is enough to get in the squad. If he does well in Bundesliga, it might propel him past other misfiring strikers.

You would think these lot are fighting for neymar. I don't see what about Raphinha is worth all of this fuss
Good player but overpriced. Leeds have a dream scenario here with several clubs drawn into a bidding war.

Random question but what happened to Rafael Honigstein? He of the “United have agreed a fee for Franck Ribery” fame?

He's been working for the Athletic for the past 2-3 years but isn't necessarily at the forefront. He focuses more on analytical articles and less so on reporting the latest news.

The new name:

Would be a very interesting move, Ive liked him as a potential striker target since he's been at Lille.

Would be great for the player and would be cool seeing him and Davies in the same side again on top of playing for the same NT.

Official: Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro will continue with his club until 2027

Xavi is releasing several transferable players, including Mingueza, Umtiti and Riqui [Puig], from joining on Monday. He wants them to look for a team quietly. Things are clear, they won't play a leading role here and it's better for them to focus on finding a destination. If they don't leave before the tour, we'll see.

Summary:

Martin Braithwaite's also on the same boat as the aforementioned players

  • Roma's latest Celik offer: €7m + 15% sell-on clause
  • Roma's latest Frattesi offer (which doesn't satisfy Sassuolo): €20m + one unnamed player

Moussa Sissoko is about to sign a 2years contract with FC Nantes!

Barcelona sells 10% of TV rights in LaLiga for the next 25 years for € 207M + 60M. It manages to close the season without prejudice, but it is still not possible to register Kessie, Christiensen or even Sergi Roberto. Much less Lewa. Need more levers or player sales.

PSV can get 8 to 9 million for Doan. A serious offer and a deal is close at hand. Player who two years ago was mentioned in a list of players who would certainly result in a big loss. Not so. Roger Schmidt has offered him new perspective. That is now paying off.

Renato Sanches has left the Algarve, his vacation spot, to go to Paris! Meeting scheduled with Parisian leaders. Discussions are still ongoing between the parties to seal a total agreement.
