Good signing this
The gutter press had him as a back-up option for us the entire window. Also, I have heard a couple of South American experts who rate this guy very highly. Seems like he is a complete midfielder. Would be interesting how he fits in to your team and does in the premier league.

Why would he give up being the main man at Bournemouth for a bench warmer at Arsenal.

If he's going to move anywhere, it would be as the main man at a higher profile club.
Bournemouth just signed Kepa from Chelsea on loan. I imagine they want him to be No. 1.

Getting a bit silly now @The Boy. Has a midtable club ever spent this much before?
Has a mid table club ever made so much money selling players in the previous windows?

Anyway with a bit of luck after this window we won’t be a mid table club anymore!

Don’t know but usually owners want to see some money back themselves and not spend it all, was reading the other day that the debt to Bloom is still at about £400m. You hit the jackpot with him (unfortunately for us).

Its no surprise that the two clubs who pulled in the largest cash sales in the last couple of years outside of the top 6 are the clubs splashing money around (Brighton and West Ham). Villa did it a few years back as well with the Grealish money which worked out well for them.

We paid back about 35 million last season so it's about 370 now! But it is interest free with no repayment schedule.

You're right Tony Bloom is an absolute legend and the only reason we have progressed from a league 1 club playing at an aging athletics track and training at the local university to an established premiership club with a top stadium and training facilities.

How is that allowed? Really like.
Is the ruling given to us banning sales between clubs with overlapping ownership something that only we have to suffer from, cause it seems every other franchise with a multi-club ownership model can do whatever the f*ck they want with no consequences, it's bizarre.

It's enforced when the clubs are engaged in the same European competitions AFAIK, which makes some sense because that's where UEFA has standing. Same as FFP not being in play if you're not qualified for a continental cup.

It's also not a blanket ban, moreso that each club leadership must be independent of one another despite sharing ownership (obviously a subjective standard).
