Good signing for them annoyingly

Looked good in parts during his first season at Soton but has had so many injury problems since then. Think he only played like 2 games last year. Probably hasn't played more than 30 top flight matches, all told.

Risky punt for whoever is signing him. Would probably have been better off getting a full season under his belt in the championship. Not sure he'll start over Trippier.

Official: Sheffield United sign Auston Trusty from Arsenal on a 4-year contract

Source (Tier 3):

Castagne has two offers (one from Fulham and the other from France) but wants to wait for Juventus' decision. Allegri likes him a lot. We'll see how long he'll wait

Source (Tier 3):

  • Nantes take a chance on Marquinhos, Arsenal's right winger.
  • The Canaries are discussing a loan deal with the Gunners.
  • Galatasaray's Yunus Akgün on track

Barely played the last 2 years. He's not going to play when they have Trippier. Probably looking at him as Trippier's long-term replacement in a few years. Not a particularly useful signing for this season. Personally think their transfer business this summer is massively overrated.

EDIT: After seeing the fee I've gone from thinking it's an unnecessary signing to a terrible signing. They haven't addressed any of their weaknesses.

Isn't Livramento one of those who can play on both flanks, Dalot-like (whether that's a flattering comparison or not YMMV)? Barnes looks an upgrade on ASM in terms of actual end product, entertaining though the former was whenever i saw him play. Tonali would hypothetically be a good signing if he actually showed any signs of wanting to be there rather than pining for Italy already, but maybe he won't go full Di Maria when it comes to the actual games...
