Don't understand why no one wants Rojo. Has to be his high wages because IMO he is an OK player, nothing fantastic but he has plenty of experience and is good enough to play for a lot of PL teams. Being 30 years old does not help but surely he's worth 5-10 million.

That contract was great value  Just wasted three years worth of wages chasing a non-existent transfer fee
I'm 95% sure he was a first team player for Mourinho when his contract was being negotiated. Might have been injured when he signed it though.

Not gonna lie will be gutted if he ends up going to Chelsea, thought we were his dream club but perhaps he thinks one of his idols Pogba won't be around for long so would prefer to join his other idol instead.
It's just El Telégrafo that have linked Caicedo to Chelsea. I wouldn't say that they're far ahead given what we know so far.

Definitely the wages, he's not even close to the required quality needed for a top team, but for sure he could be in a medium-low table team on any top league. He's an argentinian international after all. But according to reports he's on 80k per week, that would make him one of the top earnes for most of those teams, no wonder why they won't go near him.

But how many Argentinian internationals play for a Newcastle for example.

They are paying Joelinton 90k/week.

What attributes does Grealish have to justify anything above £50mil? Is he the game changing player Pogba/Bruno is? And about his socks..

Are you having a joke?

He is a leader
He is press resistent
He can pass
He can shoot
He creates chances
He helps out defensively
He is a game changer.. look what he has done for Villa.

By far the best and most influential player in the 8th best team in England. Fairly young. English. Long contract.

And yes, I think he is a game changing player

£90m and I'm sure he'll show more than Pogba over a 5 year span for the same price. Sounds a steal if we can shift Pogba for 50ish m
A steal? 90 million?

I want Grealish but I still think that’s a lot of money for him. But if Pogba does go then we have to get him.

£90m for Grealish.

Have we not learnt our lesson!! Nobody else in the world will be paying £90m for Grealish, and therefore neither should we.

He would score and assist 30goals minimum over the season playing with the players we have. Also draws in soooo many fouls, set piece dream.

Him off the left to Bruno in the middle, how would teams defend that? Scary.
He would take us up another notch imo!

he is a 90millon player unfortunately

I've a Villa supporting mate who never shuts the feck up about how many penalties we get. The idea of how many more we'd get with Grealish in the side is utterly delicious.

Unfortunately, sitting on a new 5 year contract, he is worth that now. I'm surprised he didn't insist on a buyout for one of the big boys.
I've convinced myself that he wouldn't have signed that contract unless there was a gentleman's agreement regarding a future move. He was making noise about leaving until they shoved a big fat bumper contract in his gob. I reckon he's gone this summer.

Nah, he's a very good player but not £90 million in this climate.

Agreed, £50/60m should be the fee if we are to do a deal.

I wouldn't mind selling Pogba and getting him. That way, we can use our transfer budget on a CDM and CB.

Agree, especially on the bolded. Sorting those two positions is more important than signing Grealish.

Did you mean to post this two years ago and you've just got really slow internet? How anyone can still have questions and opinions on Grealish like that in 2021 is baffling.

He really is. By next summer you'll see climate normalising, he's on a 5 year deal and he's PL proven. If Sancho is worth 90m to us in peak covid, you'd imagine Grealish would be by summer 2021.
