Pretty sure most of them happened directly after Jose joined Spurs to show that he would play young players. Of course that lasted about a month and he was nowhere to be seen after that.

Have to question both the club and the player with this move - he was playing every game in the previous 2 seasons

That didn't last long, giving youth a chance my ass!

I remember earlier this seasin I was having a discussion about a Chelsea fan on the Chelsea thread and they were all hyping up Lampard's use of Tomori, James, Mount, Tammy etc..

Next season, none of them will get to start.

I don't think many young english players would have turned down working under Pochettino, given how he had Rose, Walker, Dier, Alli and others player in the previous few seasons.

Wonder if he will play tomorrow

Arsenal could have a relatively capable team if they get some defenders and midfielders for at least 2 season before age catches up with them. Kind of a swansong season before their ultimate decline into the post Mourinho Inter.

Maybe Mount

I would have thought there would have been a clear plan with his development - maybe there was going to be a couple of months of "bedding in", but still crazy how little he played

He was injured until late November I think, so whatever plan was there was probably thrown out once the manager changed.

James will start the vast majority of games next season. Mount and Tammy will start dozens of games as well. We'll be in 4 competitions after all.

With the exception of Tomori (if reports are to be believed) all of the youth players who broke through this past season will be important in the next.

Aston Villa is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Shakespeare as the club’s new Assistant Head Coach.

I guess this means John Terry will be new Bournemouth Manager then

Never ceases to amaze me how Liv can offload their average young players for exhorbitant transfer fees!

We wanted between 20-25m for him at one point. Bournemouth and not sure who else might be Leeds or Derby we’re prepared to pay for it. But his stock has fallen since his run at the start of the season, Howe was playing him less in the end. He takes a good free kick and that’s about it really.

yep imagine signing a player that has 8 goals and 6 assists in the league compared to 3 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1.
Shows how much you know of Aouar if that's what you're going by. Easily more talented than Grealish.

Why don't you englighten me, what kind of midfielder is he?

Grealish this season beats him in most stats playing in the PL compared to Ligue 1.

He's a similar player to Foden. Which is why if City are after him, I would leave if I were Foden. Sorry, but they're more talented than Grealish. Difference is Grealish is 3-5 years older.

And I'm not sure why you exclude other competitions. Aouar has 9 goals and 7 assists in about 3000 minutes. Grealish has 10 goals and 8 assists in 3550 minutes.

They may be more talented but we know from previous talent doesnt always turn to performances.

He is 22 and Foden is 19 whilst Grealish is 24

I agree with Foden, he is more talented and perhaps we will see his progress halted at City if they keep going the way they are and not trusting the youth.

Barcelona must be dreaming if they think they can get him for that much. They’ll have to pay at least 2-2.5 times that amount if they want to make this happen.

Barca's transfer team is brilliant. Their transfer strategies sometimes makes no sense.

Buying Griezman for £100m and wanting to spend £90m on Richarlison. When it comes to defence, they do not want to pay anything.

Yeah, but that's the kind of talent we're talking about here. Foden is England's Aouar and Aouar is France's Foden. They're both extremely talented. In the same manner of us getting Sancho, if we had an opportunity to get Foden or Aouar, even if they don't perform exactly as Grealish in this next season, they're talented to the point where they will outperform Grealish 2 seasons down the line.

If Aouar is priced like that, it would be a no brainer to prefer he over Grealish. They're elite technically, and despite being attacking midfielders also play at a great pace and press resistant. He's also a great dribbler.

People think of Foden and Aouar as potential best midfielders in the future.

I mean, I'm not going to act like I don't want Grealish. But I would prefer Aouar for that price. I don't know if that's true though. I imagined he would be going for more than that.

Buendia wants to stay in the PL; Norwich are okay with letting him go if they get the money.

Buendia would be an amazing signing for Leeds. Could see him playing Pablo Hernandez' role

More info on Sanchez's departure and the payoff to him:

5-10 million pounds wouldn't be too bad given how much money we were paying him already.

The fee will show up in the Q3 accounts for 2020 if we’ve paid him now. Strange and pointless reporting.

Fair enough. As soon as Manchester United name is heard the price will be jumped up £20/30m anyway. Seems that way anyway.

Well,we always regret missing certain talents and this is one of those.

Never understand why fans get so menstrual about not signing players, can't sign everyone

God help some of the transfer muppets in here when we don't sign Florentino Luis, Tonali or Camavinga .

Mark this quote and you can come back and shame me later if I am wrong .

Aouar would be one of the finest midfielders in couple of years time and Grealish would be a tier below him.
