It doesn't make sense why the club aren't allowing him and Williams to go on loan to me.

I am vocally against all the meltdowns and negative spin on everything the club does, but THIS is probably the first thing that has made me say ‘poorly run club’ tbh. We could probably get £40m for James and Williams. In the last 12 months, we could have probably gotten £65m for James, Williams and Axel. I’m confident the trio would be valued less than half of that within 2 or 3 years. Other clubs seem to work the selling part of the market so much better, but we saddle ourselves with average players as long as they are British because we are on some sort of high-horse about being ‘different’.

If you add in Henderson, we could’ve probably hit about £90-95m. I know he’s the one we have the most hope for, but with De Gea on heavy wages and going nowhere for the foreseeable, I’d have taken all that money to facilitate a far greater summer of incomings for us.

Worse case scenario, AWB and Shaw get injured for extensive period of time, what's then? Lindelof at RB?
Ethan Laird and Fosu Mensah can deputize at RB. Laird is also a much better talent in comparison to Williams and has the same potential that Lamptey is showing at Brighton IMO.

We could shop James and buy him for not too much more, and he’s about 15x the player James is.
Also 15x more injury prone with an attitude that has been 15x worse so far. Also, 15x wages.
Not considering the fact that James is young, 1st season in the EPL, not playing in his preferred position and has just had a very difficult year. But hey, apparently his dad passing away shouldn't be a consideration.

James Cooper just said 2 signings definitely today (Telles/Cavani) but United themselves would like 3 perhaps even 4.

Sancho and Upamecano confirmed.
We could believe it if the club was willing to sell players as well - but apparently they don’t accept money for James, Williams etc.

It seems the 4 are Cavani, Telles, Pellistri and Dembele (loan)

The back up should be Ethan Laird who is a bigger talent IMO and we also have Fosu Mensah.
Agree Laird is a bigger talent, but bit of a risk given his injuries, hopefully he will be give. The chance and can stay fit. I think I would prefer to Williams at RB than TFM who’s also his injury record too, I don’t have stong opinion or argument on that and can see why people would prefer TFM. But in I guess 1 of the 3 should at least go out on loan.

We wonder why the likes of liverpool get good money for their reserves...compare and contrast the brewster situation to that of williams..

Yes. They understand that he is not going to make it at Liverpool and SELL him. We don’t do the same for our players, who may be decent but not good enough. It’s on the management

The loan benefits all parties mate and it would've been a great learning curve from him at Soton under a coach who favours the high press.

No, it shouldn’t. He’s not good enough, which is what should be a consideration. And wtf is his ‘preferred position’? Mason Greenwood just played his first season in the EPL too. He was better because he is better. James was worse because he is worse.

And Dembele being more injury prone makes no difference when compared to a fit player who can’t get into the matchday squad anyway.

How about you join on loan, prove yourself and then we’ll give you the nice 5 year deal you’re after? It’s worrying if it’s Dembele and not Barcelona refusing the loan.
yeh agreed. Sounds like he wants the guarenteed money rather than the allure of trying to resurrect his career

United should stay clear of dembele. His injury record would make Jones blush

There's actually a really good article on how is injury woes are linked to Barca. His Rennes coaches pointed out the differences in his record there where he was more susceptible due to growing into his frame and they managed it very well, then Dortmund where he had hardly any and then Barca... Who wouldn't change.

Essentially, imagine United didn't account for Scholes Osgood Schlatters or Giggs's Hamstrings

We surely must be signing a winger, but the odds on Sancho and Dembele is quite high now. If not them, then who are we signing?
