Absolutely shite offer if true.

It's not, the payment structure means it's guaranteed. I think the clear demand for Dortmund is that they want 120 million as a guarantee not with add ons to sum total the amount. I think this is being misconstrued by the media as being a flat fee meaning everything up front. 19 million per season is a feasible offer.

Its shite because I can’t see them accepting it mate, they don’t want add-ons. I don’t get why we’re still trying to be clever.

I think it’s a great offer(if true) and it’s crazy money. It’s also no risk involved. We are not going to get bankrupt anytime soon.

It’s normal practice to do deals in instalments. I can’t see any problem in doing that. They will be liquid as hell.

If McGarry is right then we are €10mil short of Dortmund original asking price. That i could see us paying that last €10mil to make this happen. Payments over the duration of the contract are nothing new, so dortmund would be guaranteed around €100mil. We are so bloody close now. Annoying if it doesnt happen.

All depends what the add ons are.

If they're things like goals/appearances/England caps, then in effect those aren't much different from staggering the other monies over 5 years.

If we really offered that then i can't blame Ed or Glazers. It is really great offer for this post covid era
Except they could have made that offer months ago and then if they werent willing to pay what dortmund wanted they could have moved on to an alternative rather than this last minute scramble

Sorry for going of topic now but this i must say;
Fm2017. Arsenal. Season one. Incoming transfers: 1.05 billion. .
Selling for cash, buying on 48 months plus all clauses activated (i wanted to play only one season so feck future:D)

We need to ensure Dalot goes there to play first team football instead of being someone’s pointless backup, otherwise he might as well stay here. Who’s the current Milan RB and LB?

I would rather another team pay his wages for a year and maybe get a chance to play and increase his value then have him do nothing for another season here. Even TFM was getting games ahead of him at the end of season.

Let's just hope he performs in Italy so we can get a good fee from him.

If he stinks the joint out then we won't even recoup 10 mil..

Let's be honest even if he wins Serie A player of the season, we won't get more than £10m for him.

Davide Calabria plays RB, Theo Hernandez LB.

Yep. Take Tuanzebe (after Villa loan) and Henderson (just this summer). We could’ve easily got £20m and £25-30m for the pair respectively. Give or take a few million with the inclusion of a sell-on or buyback clause too.

The club have a weird thing where every young player with any level of promise must be wrung out here until they’re about 23/24 before they’re actually moved on.

Henderson and Tuanzebe are expected to be first team players for years to come.

Why the feck would we sell them both, for what, a combined 45m?

You're having a laugh

Yeah, it’s this logic that sees us struggle to sell anyone and then wonder why we can’t do the business we want in the window.

Good. I think Dalot is worth waiting for 1 more season before we sell him off.

Im not really sure if he is in our future plans. We are just showcasing him this way as he wont get any playing time with us.
We most likely just want to shed his salary even though I doubt its high anyway and maybe we expect that with some playing time his value will go up and we can recoup some of the fee that we spent on him.
However highly doubt he is in our future plans.
We have AWB, Brandon Williams and Laird coming up.
Would take something extraordinary from Dalot to change our plans at RB.

No it really isn't. Fair enough on the point that we hang on to some players too long or give too high wages too soon.

But you're way off the mark with these two. Henderson could be first choice in a season or two, if not the end of this season and Tuanzebe at 22 is rated highly enough at the club to be 3rd/4th choice CB. He would have had quite a few appearances last year but for injuries.

What they want and what they would take are two different things. I'm a firm believer that Dortmund are more than happy to keep Sancho and I thought we would have to bid the whole 120 to get it done but if that offer is real, it is an offer worth considering. Especially if Sancho has indeed expressed an interest in leaving.

Mentalities change when a bid has been placed and reality sets in, the problem is though we probably haven't even offered that.
